Such striking salary difference exists regardless both staff categories performs jobs of the same functional type (administrative, advisory, linguistic).

….and despite the same level of experience, qualifications. Considering that CAs perform “core tasks” on a regular basis, can the salary difference be justified because Officials passed an EPSO Competition whereas CAs passed an EPSO Test?

A CA FG IV entering at grade 13 will do exactly the same job for his/her entire career. No career perspectives at all.

An official recruited at AST level can find his/her way right to the top grades of the AD function group through internal competitions (Art. 29 SR) and the certification procedure (Art. 45a SR).

All the presented solutions are based on the actual possibilities inside the framework given by the NEW Staff Regulation.

If the Commission and all other institutions want a motivated staff, that is devoted to the European Project /Spirit on long term basis, there will be no way around to completly rewrite the RAA / Staff Regulation based on a common political line.
