WHAT IS ERPERP—Enterprise Resource Planning, delivers a single shared data source repository and processes for all information that is used by multiple back office functions. ERP’s primary goal is to improve the flow of data across the organization.

Are You Ready toSTEP Up?Strategic Tactical Enterprise Processes (STEP) is the branding selected for the ERP Project. STEP summarizes our collective effort to transform the County business by leveraging the best Strategic Tactical Enterprise Processes. STEP is more than just an acronym; it is also a call to action for every County employee. When you see this logo in communications, posters, memos, or broadcast email messages, you will be reminded that YOU have a role in the project’s success.

What kind of action are you being asked to take? Well, first, listen to the drumbeat. On page 1, you learned about the ERP functions and when the system will be implemented. If you don’t understand what that means, simply ask! Use the email address at the bottom of this page, to ask questions and offer your opinions and suggestions.

It’s our understanding that before people take a step, they know where they are going and feel a sense of control in HOW to get there. We get it . . .! The members of our Organizational Change Management (OCM) Team will invite you to events and provide information to help you understand what’s ahead in your journey.

A Few CHANGE FAQs...With any new system implementation, there will always be WIIFM (What’s In It For Me) questions such as:

What is changing and why?

How can I gear up for the change?

Can I learn new job skills?

How am I impacted?

When will the change happen?

Our OCM and Training Teams will help you transition from the old way of doing things to the new. Our goal is to prepare, reinforce, and manage the change. You can help by becoming a Champion for Change!

Since change can be a great opportunity for growth, advancement, and acquiring a host of new skills, we want to create “win- win” situations for everyone.

What is Change Management?System implementation projects involve people, processes, and technology.

Change Management manages the people side of the business using tools, strategies, activities, and a variety of communication vehicles. As we walk through each phase of the project, our OCM team will help employees through this transition.
