NEW RE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO THE US
On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the Department of Homeland Security.
BORDER CROSSING: A Rabies Certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada. Government regulations require this certificate MUST be dated at least 30 days prior to re-entry into the U.S.

For the sole purpose of entering CKC events to acquire CKC degrees and titles, foreign born, foreign owned dogs may apply for an EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER. This number must be obtained within 30 days after receiving points to avoid cancellation of wins, and can be obtained by submitting a copy of your foreign Certificate of Registration with a letter of request to the CKC. This ERN replaces a CKC Individual Registration Number for entering events only. The Individual Registration must still be obtained for breeding purposes.

ENTRY INFORMATION
1. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full. Handlers or agents please note the full name and address of all owners must be filled in. 2. Incomplete entries will be returned. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fees. Telephone and telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. 3. There is no refund for duplicate cheques. Every effort will be made to find all duplicate entries, however if the entry has been processed and appears in the official catalogue, no refund will be made. 4. Substitutions or cancellations of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. Moving Class Dogs to Specials is permitted. An error in the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry form up to one hour before the start of the show. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for such registration can be entered. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC Rules. 5. Entries positively close 9:00 p.m. (PDT) Tuesday July 3, 2012, and must be in the hands of the Show Secretary by that date. 6. There is no refund for duplicate entries. Every effort will be made to find all duplicate entries, however if an entry has been processed and appears in the official catalogue, no refund will be made. 7. Identification cards and judging schedules will be emailed as soon as possible after the entries close. Identification cards must be presented upon arrival at the show. 8. Tendering of NSF cheques in payment of fees shall be considered non-payment of fees and is punishable by disciplinary action. Any N.S.F. or returned item will be subject to a $40.00 service charge.

ADDITIONAL RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS
1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from these shows, which will be held strictly under Canadian Kennel Club Rules. This is an Non-Smoking Show 2. The Club reserves the right to decline to accept entries for just cause, in which case the fee will be refunded with the reason for non-acceptance. No one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club holding the show or any official connected therewith for refusal of an entry. 3. The Show-giving Club will exercise due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 4. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct of their animals while they are on the Show Grounds. Exhibitors are responsible for their equipment and possessions. 5. Dogs must be ready for judging. The club will not be responsible for and not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agent of breed or class judging. NO RING WILL BE HELD UP WAITING FOR EXHIBITORS OR HAN-DLERS. 6. For the benefit of the health of animals, the pleasure of exhibitors and spec-tators we insist upon keeping the show grounds as clean as possible. EXHIBI-TORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS. Dogs are to be exercised in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Failure to comply may result in future entries being refused. 7. All trailers, motor homes, campers and recreational units will have buckets underneath their sink drains. Anyone found discharging gray or black water from their unit will immediately be removed from the grounds. 8. There will be no other facilities in case of inclement weather. 9. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the Club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 10. Entries will be acknowledged (with a judging schedule) as soon as possible after the closing date by email only. If it is not received within a reasonable time please contact the Show Secretary. 11. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs, regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. Any exhibitor wishing to substitute or cancel an entry must do so in writing before the hour of closing. Substitutions or cancellations of entries after the closing time are prohibited. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND FOR OVERPAYMENT OR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. There is a minimum $3.00 transaction fee. 12. Instructions to exhibitors to review Section 6.3 - Judges - General, sub-sections 6.3.3, 6.3.4 and 6.3.5 of the Conformation Rules and Regulations. 13.Dogs must be kept ON LEAD in all Public Areas. 14.The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by CKC Rules.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES The site includes a small general store, a mini golf course, Laundromat and bathrooms. There is a charge for the golf.
There are many people who live here full time so be aware that children and pets will be roaming in the areas near the store
and other facilities. Dogs are NOT allowed past the store. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the show and refusal of entries in the future.

The classes in the Sweepstakes are divided by sex and offered as follows:
Junior Puppy 6 months and less than 9 months Senior Puppy 9 months and less than 12 months 12-15 Months 12 months and less than 15 months 15-18 Months 15 months and less than 18 months
For final judging, the first place dog from each of the above classes will be brought together for the final placing of “Best in Sweepstakes” and “Runner-Up to Best in Sweepstakes”

Best in Sweepstakes will be awarded 25% of the Entry Fees received and a Rosette
Runner-Up to Best in Sweepstakes will be awarded 20% of the Entry Fees received and a Rosette
First Place winners in each class 3.75% of total entry and a Rosette 2nd to 4th place in each class—Flat Ribbon
The Club will retain the remaining 25% to defray costs.
Non Member Participation Fee An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee will match the ERN fee. In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non -member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. These fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non-CKC members and are not applicable to CKC members.
Points for Best in Show A class dog awarded Best in Show at an all-breed Championship show will be credited with 5points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, shall NOT be included in the calculation for championship points (effective January 1, 2012) (Absentees are not to be included). In order for a dog to be recognized as a Canadian Champion it must: (1) earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and (2) be individually registered in the records of the CKC or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN)
CLASSIFICATIONS
The following classes are offered and will be divided by SEX: Junior Puppy 6 months of age and less than 9 months of age Senior Puppy 9 months of age and less than 12 months of age Canadian Bred For dogs born in Canada. Champions in any country excluded Bred by Exhibitor For a dog owned and handled in the ring by the breeder/co-breeder. Family members ARE excluded Open Shall be for all dogs. Specials Only—Dogs which have a recorded CKC Registration number or Event Registration number and have attained the required points for championship status. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, and Best Puppy if eligible. NON-REGULAR CLASSES Exhibition Only—Dogs entered in this class may not compete in any of the Regular Classes
SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5),and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded Winners shall be as follows:
