Pressure PerformanceWhen installed correctly, an Ultra Clamp will withstand the rated pressures tabulated herein. It is possible to manufacture Ultra Clamps of higher rated working pressure by increasing the number of bolts. Pressure ratings must be specified when placing orders.

Temperature Performance & Chemical ResistanceThe operating temperature and chemical resistance of an Ultra Clamp is determined primarily by the composition of the rubber gasket. Different grades of rubber are available to suit various temperature ranges as well as different chemical resistance requirements. Standard Ultra Clamps are manufactured with a Styrene-Butadiene (SBR) and Natural Rubber (NR) blended compound.

SBR+NR: Styrene-Butadiene (SBR) and Natural Rubber (NR) blend.TEMPERATURE RANGE:-40°C to +90°C (-40°F to +195°F)SUITABLE FOR:Potable water, sewage, many strong and oxidizing chemicals, some food applications.NOT SUITABLE FOR:Petroleum products, oily compressed air or hydrocarbon fuels and lubricants.

NBR: NitrileTEMPERATURE RANGE:-20°C to +100°C (-4°F to +210°F)SUITABLE FOR:Natural gas, petroleum products, low aromatic fuels, oily compressed air and sewage applications.NOT SUITABLE FOR:Potable water.

Ultra Clamps operate at maximum efficiency under conditions of constant temperature. If temperature fluctuations occur, re-tightening of the bolts may be required.
