mUp-down Navigator: Used to navigate around the home page, through the menus or in a text field when entering characters.The home page includes:
Phone status information such as locked, call forward, etc.Date and time.Phone programming and configuration functions.
OK Key: Used to validate your selection when programming or configuring the set.
Back/Exit Key: Returns the display to the previous screen or menu (short press) or return to the home screen (long press). You can also use this key as a backspace key when entering text.
Hang-up Key: to terminate a call.
Hands-free/Loudspeaker Key: to make or answer a call without lifting the receiver (Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch 4008 / 4018)
SOLID: In hands-free mode (short press)FLASHING: In loudspeaker mode (long press)
Intercom/Mute Key:During a conversation press this key so that the outside party cannot hear you speak.When station is idle press this key to answer calls automati-cally without picking up the receiver.
Volume Control: To increase or decrease the loudspeaker or handset volume
Messaging Key to access message services. When flashing indicates a new voice or text message has been received.
Redial Key: Redial the last number (short press).Choose from list of last 10 number (long press).
To avoid accidentally damaging the set telephone line connector make sure you position the cord correctly in the compartment intended for this purpose.
Guide Key: Display information about a pre-programmed key, access set programming and configuration screens.
Phone Book Key: Access your personal phone book (short press) or access dial by name feature (long press).
Pre-programmed Function Keys: Lit when the function associated with the key is activated. The 6-key block is programmed as follows in default:
Two line keys.One Immediate Forwarding / Cancel Call Forwarding key.One Conference key.One Hold key.One Transfer key.
Follow prompts on display.
Depending on the displayed information, enter your password or
confirm.
Adjust ringing mode, melody or volume by following the instructions
displayed on the screen.Long press to return to the home screen.

Choose a contact from your personal directory.
