In support to DA's Ginintuang Masaganang Ani on High Value Commercial Crops (GMA- HVCC) Program, the Provincial Government implemented the Program on Fruit Tree Production known as Program on Reform and Utilization of Trees in Agusan del Sur (P.RU.T.A.S.) to focus primarily on the enhancement of fruit tree production in the province through provision of fruit tree seedlings and technology trainings to qualified farmer- recipients. Supervision in the establishment of orchard plantation has been given priority to ensure high survival of the planting materials. Periodic monitoring has been maintained for proper guidance in care and maintenance of the orchard. This was funded under 20% Provincial Development Fund and of the regular funds of the office. The Regional Field Unit-XIII of the Department of Agriculture also provided funds through its Caraga Integrated Development Program (CIDP).
