2. Product Overview The WA8021V5 is a home edge ONT that provides gigabit dual-band Wi-Fi network ports. (WA8021V5 can only be used in indoor scenarios)

4. Hardware Installations 4.1 Installing the First WA8021V5 In the case there is no router at home, it is recommended that the first WA8021V5 be used as a router. Step 1 Use a network cable to connect Port 3 of the first WA8021V5 to LAN port of the Bridge ONT. Step 2 Use a power adapter to connect the power port of the first WA8021V5 to a power socket.

The connections between the first WA8021V5 and other devices are shown as follows.

4.2 Installing the Second WA8021V5 In the case of adding the second WA8021V5 as a Wi-Fi repeater to expand Wi-Fi coverage: Step 1 Place the second WA8021V5 within 2 meters of the first WA8021V5 and connect the power

supply. When the first WA8021V5 successfully detects the second WA8021V5, the indicator on the first WA8021V5 blinks slowly.

Step 2 Press the pairing button on the first WA8021V5 once. Indicators on both the first and second WA8021V5 devices blink quickly.

Wait until the indicator on the second WA8021V5 turns steady white, which indicates that the pairing is successful.

Step 3 Move the second WA8021V5 to a position where the Wi-Fi coverage is to be expanded, and connect it to a power socket. After the indicator turns steady white, the second WA8021V5 can access the Internet.

4.3 Connetting to the Wi-Fi of an Edge ONT Connect a phone or PC to the Wi-Fi of an edge ONT (For the Wi-Fi name & password, see the product nameplate.)

The following table describes the ports on the device:

Port/Button Description Power port Connects to a power adapter. Reset button Press and hold the Reset button of the device for more than 2 seconds using a

needle, and release the button after the indicator turns off. After the device restarts and the red indicator turns on, the factory settings are restored.

Ethernet port In the case an edge ONT work as a router, only port 3 can be the WAN port to uplink to the bridge ONT, port 1 and 2 can be used as LAN ports to connect devices such as computers. In the case an edge ONT work as a repeater, there are 2 ways to connect to the first router WA8021V5, one is uplink via port 3, another way is uplink via Wi-Fi. Ports 1 and 2 can all be used as LAN ports to connect devices such as computers.

Pairing button An edge ONT can be paired to expand Wi-Fi coverage. For details, see 4.2 Installing the Second WA8021V5.

5. Web Configurations

Content in this section applies only to the first device.

Wireless Settings Step 1 Open the Internet Explorer (IE) browser and enter http://192.168.1.254 in the address box. Step 2 In the login page that is displayed, enter the user name, password, and verification code (see the

device nameplate for the default user name and password); and click Login.

l If you do not perform any operations after logging in to the system within five minutes, you will

be logged out and the system automatically returns to the login page. l The system will be locked for one minute if you input incorrect password three consecutive

times.

Step 3 In the page that is displayed, click More to enter the Configuration page.

Step 4 In the navigation tree, choose WLAN > 2.4G Basic Network Settings or WLAN > 5G Basic

Network Settings. In the pane, select the Enable WLAN (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) option box. In the dialog box that is displayed, set the basic Wi-Fi parameters, including the SSID, authentication mode, and encryption mode.

Step 5 Click Apply.

6. Indicator Descriptions Status Description White: steady on Internet access is available. Red: steady on Internet access is unavailable.

l The edge ONT is being powered on. l The edge ONT is not connected to the upstream gateway.

Red: blinking slowly (once per second)

An edge ONT has detected a device that can be paired.

Red: blinking quickly (twice per second)

An edge ONT is being paired with a Huawei gateway in one-click mode. An edge ONT is performing WPS pairing.

How to use the 3BB App 1. Download and Setup the app. 2. Register as a 3BB member in order to login and use the app.

How to register as a 3BB Member Register as a 3BB member to receive a username and password through 2 methods:

Method 1: Registering on the website 1. Visit the website www.3bb.co.th. 2. Select for Register as 3BB Member. 3. Fill in the 9 digit customer code, followed by *, and last 4 digits of customer's Identification

Number. 4. Check for correctness of information. 5. Determine username and password.

Method 2: Registering through the 3BB App

1. Open the 3BB APP 2. Click Create 3BB Member. 3. In the 3BB Account No. field, enter the 9 digit customer code. 4. Fill in the last 4 digits of your identification number. 5. Fill in a username and password. 6. Fill in your mobile phone number and e-mail address.

If you forget your password, click Forgot Password, fill in your mobile phone number, and fill in the last 4 digits of your identification number. The system will then send a code through SMS to the specified mobile phone number.

8. FAQs What can I do if a problem occurs when I set the Internet access mode? 1. Cannot find the Wi-Fi of the edge ONT: Ensure that the device is powered on. Wait for a moment.

After the device is started, scan for the Wi-Fi again. 2. Cannot access the Internet after the settings: Ensure that the home gateway connected to the device can

access the Internet. If a network cable is connected, ensure that network cable is connected securely. How to restore the factory settings of an edge ONT? Press and hold the Reset button of the device for more than 2 seconds using a needle, and release the button after the indicator turns off. After the device restarts and the red indicator turns on, the factory settings are restored.

After the device is restored to factory settings, the device configuration parameters are cleared and need to be reconfigured.

Does an edge ONT support 5G Wi-Fi? How to connect to the 5G Wi-Fi? Yes. The device supports 5G Wi-Fi. To fix the connection to the 5G frequency band, disable the Dual-Band Steering as follows:

1. Connect a PC to the Wi-Fi network. 2. Enter the IP address in the address box of a browser and press Enter. On the displayed login page,

enter the user name, password, and verification code (see the device nameplate for the default user name and password).

How to change the Wi-Fi name and password of an edge ONT? 1. Connect a PC to the Wi-Fi network. 2. Enter the IP address in the address box of a browser and press Enter. On the displayed login page,

enter the user name, password, and verification code (see the device nameplate for the default user name and password).

3. Choose My Wi-Fi on the web page, and change the Wi-Fi name and password.

If you forget the login password, restore the edge ONT to its factory settings and set the Internet access mode again.
