Economical reasons to use Coriolis meter as master meter •! Costs of ownership for Coriolis master meter - Initial investment lower than conventional pipe or compact prover - Less maintenance (no moving parts) •! Arguments for users to own a Coriolis master meter: - availability at any moment (no planned proving) do not to need to synchronize the proving with operations - short payback time, depending of meter size: between 10 and 20 provings

•! Stability over time Internal investigation within Emerson Ede: approx. 120 meters shows < 0.03% shift during re-calibration on water after being in service (uncertainty calibration facility is 0.030% or 0.017%)

Performance at field conditions to be known: Uncertainty analysis from water calibration to field conditions, based on GUM and ISO 5168, is fully developed over the years Sample for -10 till 50 !C ; till 20 bar ; till 5 cSt Water calibration within 0.05% for mass and 0.2 kg/m3 for density

Performance at field conditions to be known: Measures to improve the analysis: - Calibrate with 0.017% uncertainty - Correct for the mass and density errors, as observed during water calibration - Do not allow more than 50% of zero stability specification at water cal and in field - Determine the temperature coefficients for mass and density - Insulate the meter - Temperature correction based on external temperature (Micro Motion offers this feature by default)

Uncertainty of set-up (CMC; Calibration and Measurement Capability) in this special case is 0.0086%:
