What: Press Conference about two-year Interfaith Energy Conservation and Community
Garden Initiative involving churches/temples in all 15 counties across Upper Peninsula of
Michigan
When: Friday, January 18, 2012
Time: 11 a.m. ET
Where: Marquette, MI inside Pavilion at Presque Isle Park
*Important Visuals for the media will be available at the press conference including native
plants/vegetables representative of what will be grown in the community gardens – plus an energy
conservation final report at a church that includes photos.
In the near future, the media will be invited to cover the first energy conservation audit and are
welcome at any of the inspections at U.P. churches/temples.
Plus the media is welcome to do stories on the planting/picking/distribution of the community
gardens that will be located next to houses of worship or anywhere decided the congregations.
