GENERAL NOTES

Situation Park Farm lies only 2 miles from the main A50 at Hilton and has excellent national road network access from both the M1 and M6. From the centre of Derby pick up the A38 and travel south towards Burton on Trent. Take the first exit onto the A516 signed for Etwall and continue approximately 3 miles on this road travelling over the first main roundabout. After ¾ mile turn right into Ash Lane signed for Sutton on the Hill and Park Farm lies 600 yards up the lane on the left. From the A50 at Hilton (between Toyota/A38 and Sudbury) leave the main dual carriageway and pick up the A516 signposted towards Etwall. Travel 1 mile (passing the Etwall turn on the right) and turn left up Ash Lane signed for Sutton on the Hill. Park Farm lies 600 yards on the left being the first farm up the lane.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than €15,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities – Telehandler loading facilities will be available on site up until approximately 5.00pm on sale day.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at Friday 4th August 2017. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers. Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

The sale at Park Farm arises as a result of the retirement of Mr John Smith and the end of his tenancy after 35 years at the Farm. Many locals will know that Mr Smith has undertaken a very successful haylage and hay enterprise over recent years after the dispersal of his dairy cattle many years ago. There is a full range of grassland and hay machinery together with the two loader tractors and flat transport trailers. Several local vendors have included items by permission and purchasers should attend and bid at the numerous and diverse lots at this sale.
