Public health intervention development Funder Deadline: 29 November

Apply for funding to develop an intervention addressing a UK or global public health issue. You can apply for up to £150,000. MRC will fund:

UK research organisations at 80% full economic cost

overseas costs at 100% full economic cost.

Your project will be funded for up to 18 months.

PHIND proposals can include qualitative and quantitative primary re-search and the development of theory and logic models. However, emphasis should be placed on developing the intervention. For more information visit the MRC Website.

Please acknowledge the BRC in your publications! NIHR GOSH Biomedical Research Centre has

provided important infrastructure funding for research at the GOS ICH and GOSH, since we were

first awarded BRC-status in 2007. This research infrastructure contributes to all research that goes on at the ICH and GOSH,

and it is very important that it is acknowledged in all our publications, including conference and meeting abstracts. Full de-

Medical Research Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship (CRTF) in

The Foundation is co-funding one fellowship in Adolescent Dermatolo-gy in 2021. Applications are welcomed from clinicians who have the potential to be the research leaders of the future, whose research will increase understanding of the disease mechanisms underlying adoles-cent skin disorders. Funding may support research that will address the biological questions surrounding skin disorders of relevance to adoles-cents, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, alopecia and vitiligo Applicants may apply for salary costs and up to £20,000 research costs per year, for up to four years. MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health call for research projects

We are looking for dissertation supervisors of students studying for an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health next academic year. We encourage postdocs and PhD students to get involved in helping to supervise these projects/reviews. It is an opportunity to gain the skills and experience required to become a PhD Supervisor Projects can be hosted by staff within any of the Institute’s Academic Departments and can commence in Nov 2021. Full-time students should have submitted their dissertation before September 2022. British Paediatric Surveillance Unit and RCPCH Sir Peter Tizard research bursary

The award encourages paediatricians who are not research active to undertake a study of a rare disease or condition which affects children and which addresses a question of clinical or public health importance and supports the RCPCH's objective of building and strengthening re-search in paediatrics.

Successful applicants will receive a free slot on the BPSU’s rare disease surveillance scheme worth £15,000 and a £5,000 stipend towards training needs. The bursary is open to paediatric trainees and newly qualified consultants wishing to undertake an epidemiological re-search study into a rare disease or condition that affects children, and which addresses a question of clinical or public health importance For more information visit the website.
