In 1978-1992 Dr. Antonov headed the precious metals department of the Central Asian Institute of mineral resources. After breaking up he became the general director of the Uzbek-American JV Intertash in 1993-2000 and director of Uzbek-Canadian JV “Gold of Desert”.He has the Degrees of Doctor of Geology and Professor obtained in Moscow in early 1990s. He is the author of more than a hundred published works on metallogeny of gold and silver. He visited deposits in Russia, Canada, USA. China, Japan, etc. In 1992 Dr. Antonov was elected the Secretary General of the National Committee of Geologists of Uzbekistan (1992-1996).In 2017 he initiated negotiations of B2Gold management in Uzbekistan. After B2Gold Subsidiary’s registration in Uzbekistan he was appointed the General Director of B2Gold Central Asia.Dr. Antonov is a member of SGA, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, academic of Kazakh Academy of Mineral Resources.

Was born on December 4, 1984 in Tashkent. Graduated from the Tashkent State Technical University named after Abu Raykhon Beruni (master’s degree in 2005, bachelor’s degree in 2007), the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan (master’s degree in 2010). Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences. He supervised the work of the State Enterprise “State Geological Information Center” (2010-2015) and the State Enterprise “Scientific Research Institute of Mineral Resources” of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources. (2015-2017) Since 2017, he has been the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources.
