What tools do we use to collect?

What do all of these tools have in common?

Their content depends on how a user chooses to curate their lives.

They allow us to create and share detailed records of our lives as we live them.

Much of this curation is based on vanity.

Food photos tend to get more likes.

While family photos get less attention.

So I’ve been thinking about what I want to build, based on my own long-term activity across various services over many years.

I also looked into some pre-existing services for comparison, thinking about what they really do for users.

This helped me visualize some of my ideas, but also let me discover what I don’t want to do.
