1st grade Jungle Drawings
The jungle is full of many different animals: elephants, lions, monkeys,
snakes, and more. Today you will hear a great story that talks about
the animals in the jungle. As you hear the story, think about how you
could draw a picture of a jungle. The paper would be filled with lots
of details! When you see the pictures of each animal, look at the
background. What kind of environment do you see? Now be a good
audience as the story is read.
Please follow these directions to draw your own jungle:
1. Use the drawing packets for animal ideas. Do not trace,
just look to see how to draw them. Draw the animal’s
head first using simple shapes. Do you see shapes within
these animals?
2. Use PENCIL to draw your animals. You may draw as many
as you like, so fill the paper.
3. Use PENCIL to draw the background: trees, vines, sky,
grass, waterfall, flowers, and more.
4. When your paper is filled with details, color NEATLY with
crayons in your toolbox.
5. If you finish early, you may take turns sharing your jungle
with the rest of the class.
