your life. This is why I have chosen this
poem, because it connects to my life.

different things that have happened in
my life.

reason for this is that it rained every day.

trying to sleep. It is very relaxing to me
to hear rain when I am going to sleep.

Writing about
poetry
When you make a point, include an example
from the poem.
The poet describes the cold, winter day
well in the line A narrow wind
complains all day. The poet shows how
cold and painful the wind can be.
Make sure all your points are about the
poem (dont get confused and start writing
about something else)
Whenever you write something from thepoem, write in quotation marks.
Write EXACTLY what the poem says. Dont
make your own grammar mistakes when
you quote!
I love the line, Let the rain sing you alullaby
You should write the essay pretending that
the reader has never read the poem. This
will MAKE you include examples. For
example, dont write The last 2
Use the poets name instead of repeating
the poet. When you introduce the poet in
the introduction, use the full name. Whenyou use the name within the essay
Write in a formal way.
Do not write things like:
