Welcome to the 1st Annual Beer By The PierThis year we decided to embark on a completely different type of fundraiser for Family Services of the North Shore. So, with a nod to the trendy, hip feel of North Vancouver’s waterfront, we welcome you to a unique evening in the spectacular, restored Pipe Shop at historic Shipbuilders’ Square. This expansive indoor space is the backdrop for a fun, casual, community event which will raise much needed funds for our Agency’s mental health outreach and support programs as well as critical counselling for families, individuals, children and youth living on the North Shore.

Take some time to enjoy the cool ambiance, an amazing variety of the

Lower Mainland’s best craft beers, great tunes from the North Shore’s

own Adam Woodall Band and a delicious BBQ from local proprietors and

national BBQ champions, Smoke & Bones. Make sure to bid on some of

the fantastic silent auction items donated from primarily LOLO businesses

and test your odds with the 50/50 draw. There is lots to do and many

ways to help us raise additional funds to assist those in our community

who need it the most.

This year we have been truly inspired by the commitment of our Beer

By The Pier Committee members. It has been a privilege to have such

a creative, dedicated, thoughtful and energetic group of North Shore

volunteers come together to produce this innovative event. We extend

our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of our incredible Committee

members – Anne Fischer, Jaci Edgeworth, Kate LeGresley, Kathryn

Hegger, Kelly Brooks, Michelle Kelsey, Michelle Monroy, Rik Bjornson and

Susan Chow – as well as the many evening event volunteers who made

tonight possible.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Agency and our staff, we thank

you for being with us for this exciting, new community event and for your

generous support of Family Services of the North Shore tonight and
