JOB DESCRIPTION: On Track Training and Support Officer
Reports to National Impact and Evaluation Officer or to the Research, Evaluation and Development Officer, depending on location
Location Bristol, London or remote working (some travel required)
Salary £25,046 per annum plus inner London Weighting of £3332 if relevant (pro rata for the part time role) (based on NJC pay scale points 29-33).
Length of contract Full time 37 and part time 22.2 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. Please specify on your application if you have a preference.
MAIN PURPOSE OF POST
To roll out use of On Track for domestic abuse services, including providing implementation support and delivering training to frontline staff.
On Track is the Women’s Aid case management and outcomes monitoring system. It has been designed to empower local domestic abuse services to collect robust evidence of impact as part of their everyday work.
It includes a cloud-based database (OASIS On Track, provided by our partners IT Works), a full set of template case management forms and validated outcomes monitoring tools and the option for services to receive benchmarking data to compare their service regionally and nationally.
The system has been rigorously piloted across 12 sites, reviewed by survivors, users, academics and commissioners and was officially launched in April 2016. There has been a high level of demand for the system and this post will help to roll out and deliver this exciting new project.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To roll out use of On Track, including providing implementation support and delivering training to frontline staff. 1.1.To support organisations to implement On Track, including providing them with
information about the project, developing action plans in liaison with organisations and supporting organisations to draft process maps.
1.2.To liaise with IT Works about the progress of the organisations implementing On Track, specifically about key dates.
1.3.To deliver training on the On Track case management system for organisations across England.
1.4.To map the reporting requirements of organisations against outcomes and outputs recorded in On Track.
1.5.To analyse reports to assess data quality, and to identify areas of improvements.

1.6.To keep in regular communication with organisations as they implement On Track.
1.7.To monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of On Track.

SUMMARY OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Terms of appointment: Confirmation of appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period. This will normally be of six months (less for short term contracts). During this time an employee will be expected to establish their suitability for the post. During the probationary period employment may be terminated in writing, giving one week's notice by either party (this may be waived by mutual agreement). Only any statutory dismissal procedure will apply during the probationary period. There is no probationary period for contracts of under 3 months.
Salary: £25,046 plus inner London Weighting of £3,332 (on an incremental scale guided by the NJC Local authority pay scale points 29-33) + benefits. Salary is paid in arrears through bank credit by the 25th of each month. Part time staff receive pro-rata payment based on hours worked.
Working hours: The standard working hours for this post are 37 or 22.2 hours per week, based in Bristol, London or remotely; benefits include a generous bank holidays and annual leave package and contributory pension scheme.
Support and supervision: Women’s Aid has a commitment to providing regular supervision and support to staff with annual appraisals forming a key part of staff development. We have a training policy in place and encourage staff to take an active role in their career development plan. Pension: Women’s Aid is enrolled with the People’s Pension scheme. Women’s Aid normally contributes 7% of salary and the employee contributes 3% towards the group pension scheme. Eligible staff will be automatically enrolled on the scheme when they have successfully completed the 3 month interim probationary review. .
Annual Leave: Women’s Aid offers an annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year rising by one day per year until 30 days annual leave per year is reached. In addition, we offer 8 days public holidays plus 2 additional days in March and August. All leave entitlement is calculated pro-rata for part time employees.
Other leave: Employees have contractual rights to time off for reasons of sickness, maternity and other circumstances.
Period of notice: 1 month after your probationary period has been completed.
Union: You have a right to membership of a trade union. Women’s Aid recognises Unison.
Asylum and Immigration Act 1996: To comply with this Act, Women’s Aid will need to see the original of at least one document from a specified list, most commonly a British Passport.
