ABOUT THE SERVICE

The passing of ex amination is required for applicants for license as insurance agents, in order to determine his/her competen ce. The applicant must

be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude. He/she must show to the satisfaction of the

Commissioner that he/she has been trained in the kind of insurance contemplated in the license. Applicant may apply for exami nation for non-life,

life, variable , and health and accident, and CTPL only.

WHO MAY AVAIL OF THE SERVICE

Persons who intend to apply as insurance agents may avail of the service.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Application for examination

2. Certificate of good moral character, NBI or barangay clearance

3. Certificate of training

FEES:I. P 500.00 - for applicant in main IC Manila Office, Cebu Extension Office, and Davao Extension Office

II. P 550.00 for applicant in other places

SCHEDULE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF SERVICEI. Manila Office- Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (all business lines) 8:00 AM-12:00 NN. Applicants who come after 10:30 shall be

scheduled for the next examination day.

II. Extension office in Cebu and Davao- Every 2ndand 4thWednesday of the month

III. Examination in other places- the examination shall be scheduled. Please coordinate with the representative(s) of the sponsoring insurance company

or organization in the area of the exam.

insurance company, website of IC or from the

Licensing Division of the Commission. Submitapplication and requirements to frontline

personnel in the Licensing Division or personnelof the Extension Office.

Frontline personnel receive and processesapplication and requirements. Applicant is

informed in case of lacking requirements.

3 Payment

Applicant pays examination fee in theCashier. A receipt shall be issued. The

application with receipt of payment shall beassigned officer.

Personnel issues payment request form.

Cashier receives payment , issues receipt andwrites the amount and receipt number in the

transmittal letter or application

4 Exam Taking

Proceed to the assigned room forexamination. Examinee affixes signature in theattendance sheet and receives the questionnaire

and answer sheet from the proctor. After finishingthe exam, return the questionnaire and theanswer sheet to the proctor.

Proctor gets the attendance of the examinees

and distributes the questionnaire and answersheet. After examination, proctor gathers thequestionnaires and answer sheets from

examinees.

6 Issuance of Result

The results of exam are released the next dayfollowing the day of exam. For Extension Officeand other venues outside Manila, the exam result

is forwarded to the sponsoring company andshall be known three days after the exam.

The assigned personnel checks the

examination papers and submits examinationreport to the Chief of the Licensing Division.

The assigned personnel prepares the summary

of the result of examination and encodes thepassers in the computer.
