Crucible Final Project

Part I: A Literary Must Choose one of the following (50 points)1. Write a Literary Device Paper for “Theme” using The Crucible to

support the definition of theme.

2. Write a Literary Device Paper for any of the following literary terms using The Crucible to support the definition: Imagery, Symbol, Antithesis, Tragic Hero

Part II: Creative Writing Tied to Text: Choose one of the following. (50 points)

1. Compose two limericks about two different characters in The Crucible. You cannot make up fake information everything need to be true and from the play.

A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines must have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines only have to have five to seven syllables, and have to rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm. 

EXAMPLE: Lennie from Of Mice and MenThere was a guy named LennieWho had to save his penniesHe worked on a ranchHe died under a branchNo bunnies for Lennie, no not any.

2. Compose two ‘found poems’ about two different characters from The Crucible using: two consecutive pages of the text (must write down the page numbers used) and only groupings of words with two or more words (no singular words-no changing words)

Part III. Short Answer Response: Must answer (25 points)1. Fear is a driving force in this play. Fear of the forest, fear or the Native

Americans, fear of female freedoms, fear of God, fear of the Devil, etc. Please respond to the following:

pertains to any element of the The Crucible (Sample below)

2. Create a parody of a MEME connected to The Crucible, please include the original meme you parody.

Art Requirements: Must be hand drawn, must be neat, must be full colored, must be done on a piece of WHITE printer paper and fill at least HALF of the page
