1. The present Mahanta, the Living ECK Master who was giventhe Rod of ECK Power at midnight, October 22, 1981, in theValley of Shangta at the Oracle of Tirmer. The Living ECKMaster is the guardian of the Temple of ECK.

2. The ECK Master in charge of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad in theTemple of Golden Wisdom in the city of Mer Kailash on theMental Plane. As guardian, his title is the Koji Chanda. He wasthe Mahanta, the Living ECK Master in Abyssinia, an ancientkingdom in what is now Ethiopia.

3. The ECK Master among the Mycenaeans (invaders ofGreece between 2000–1700 BC); he was the leading figureamong the Greek mystery cults and is now guardian of theShariyat-Ki-Sugmad, the sacred book of ECK, in the spiritualcity of Agam Des, the home of the Eshwar-Khanewale, the God-eaters. He served as the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master.

4. The Mahanta and Living ECK Master from 1965 to 1971.He brought the modern teachings of ECKANKAR to the peoplesof the world through his many books, lectures, and writings.

5. The Chinese ECK Master who is the guardian of theShariyat-Ki-Sugmad on the Saguna Lok, the Etheric Plane, at theTemple of Golden Wisdom in the city of Arhirit. He served as theMahanta, the Living ECK Master.

6. An ECK Master in the Ancient Order of the Vairagi Adepts,who is a woman. Although her true age is beyond belief, sheappears to be in her midtwenties to early thirties. She is five and ahalf feet tall. Her light brown (honey-blond) hair often falls to hershoulders, but she changes hairstyles to fit her duties. Like all theECK Masters, she serves Sugmad (God) by helping others find theMahanta, the Living ECK Master. Her pet project is to help peopleget back on their feet during hardship.

7. The torchbearer of ECKANKAR in the lower worlds. Hewas the spiritual teacher of many ECK Masters including PaulTwitchell (Peddar Zaskq) to whom he handed the Rod of ECKPower in 1965; said to be over five hundred years old, he lives in ahut in the Hindu Kush Mountains and appears to many as he helpsthe present Living ECK Master in the works of ECKANKAR.

8. The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master in Egypt, 3000 BC,who founded the mystery cults of Osiris and Isis. He teaches atthe Askleposis Temple of Golden Wisdom in the city of Sahasra-dal-Kanwal on the Astral Plane. There, he is the guardian of theholy book of ECK, the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad.

9. The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master during the time ofBuddha, about 500 BC. He completed his mission, then immortal-ized his body, and is now the guardian of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmadat the Katsupari Monastery in northern Tibet. A teacher ofFirdusi, the Persian poet, he was also the spiritual guide forColumbus and encouraged his voyage to the Americas in order torevitalize the depleted nutrition of the Europeans.

10. The ECK Master who is the guardian of the holy book, theShariyat-Ki-Sugmad, on the Pinda Lok, the physical world, at theHouse of Moksha, Temple of Golden Wisdom in the city of Retz,Venus. The letter M appears on his forehead. He served as theMahanta, the Living ECK Master.

11. The Adept and guardian of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad in theTemple of Sakapori on the Causal Plane. As the Outer and InnerMaster of ECK in the thirteenth century, he was the teacher ofJalal ad-Din ar-Rumi, Persian poet, sage, and a follower of ECK.The scent of jasmine is often associated with him.
