24 th Agriculture and Livestock Exhibition Fair from 16 th to 19 th October 2019 at Badam Bagh Kabul - Afghanistan The 24 th Agriculture and Livestock Exhibition Fair was inaugurated in Kabul’s Badam Bagh research farm on 16 th October 2019 and continued for four days. In this AG-fair, a number of officials including the director of the agriculture development sector of MAIL, deputy minister for irrigation and natural resources at MAIL, and general directorate of Kuchis had participated. In the opening ceremony, Mr. Habibullah Habibi, director of agriculture development sector of MAIL said, “This year’s autumn exhibition is held under the slogan of ‘Standard Agriculture; Access to Global Market”. During the four days of exhibition, agriculture and livestock products were displayed and sold. In addition to agriculture and livestock products, handicraft and handloom products traditionally woven by women in their homes were on display. The exhibition also served as a platform to facilitate market linkages for the farmers and high government officials to directly interact with each other, discuss problems, issues and potential solutions. This exhibition was a great platform to showcase the work done by the Kuchis and their products. They were very encouraged by participating at the exhibition and stated that this kind of exhibition is important because it is an exceptional opportunity for them to expand, promote their livestock products, and establish market linkages.
