The course is designed to review topics of broad interest to clinical pharmacol- ogists. As in the past, the course will combine pre- sentation of exciting new concepts in Clinical Pharmacology with a review of topics associated with core concepts in Clinical Pharmacology. Format will be a combination of didactic sessions and inter- active workshops focusing on core knowledge areas in clinical pharmacology. Areas to be covered include individual and population pharmacokinetics, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling, phar- macogenetics, clinical trial simulations, principles of drug action, and drug use in special populations (pediatric, geriatric, obstetric). In addition, an update in HIV therapeutics, drug interactions, and clinical trial design will be included. FDA and recent regula- tory approaches will be reviewed, and finally, a series of workshops will focus on specific therapeutic areas. The Course is appropriate for individuals inter- ested in reviewing the discipline or desiring an update in key areas. Please use the combined annual meeting and course registration form included in this issue of the Journal to register. Darrell R. Abernethy, MD, PhD, Course Co-Director Raymond L.
