INTERIOR

The aircraft cabin features a executive configuration with forward 4 place club seating mid-cabin conference/dining area opposite credenza with single aft seat opposite 3 place berthable divan - forward galley and forward and aft lavatories INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT - ALL PERFORMED BY WEST STAR AVIATION – JANUARY 2015   An extensive interior refurbishment project was contracted with West Star Aviation East Alton selected specifically for their exceptional quality of work and extensive experience in the Falcon 900 Series aircraft. This interior refurbishment was inclusive of every single piece of the aircraft interior covering cockpit, entryway, galley, forward lav, entire cabin, aft lav, baggage, and all air-stair, steps, etc.   The interior refurbishment covered all softgoods, woodwork & cabinetry, and plating.   Cabin seats were stripped to the frame, sanded, painted, re-foamed in the new style seat design, and then covered with aeristo aeronappa kiev leather.   The aft three place divan was stripped to the frame, sanded, painted, re-foamed in the new style cushion design, and then covered with glant courture haute latice pewter stone fabric.   All headliners and upper sidewalls were stripped, modified to the new style headliner & PSU, and then re-covered in tapis moonlight ultraleather.   The lower sidewalls were stripped and re-covered in tapis promessa ultra leather.   New customer carpet from Scott Group in gray fiori loop was fitted to the entire interior.   All of the woodwork, cabinetry, tables, drink rails, doors, etc. were removed from the interior, stripped of the previous wood veneer, and new wood veneer was applied. Wood veneer selected and applied was the carl booth / goodrich gray oak veneer and per customer request the veneer was applied in horizontal layout and finally completed with a matte rather than high gloss finish to add to the contemporary look and feel of the interior. At the time of woodwork there was an extensive modification performed to the galley annex. Also the galley itself was repaired and modified to accommodate the owners travel needs to a more modern and spacious galley configuration.

The aft lavatory vanity, mirror, sink, counter, and faucet were all either completely modified or replaced to provide a modern and contemporary feel which goes along with the rest of the cabin. While West Star was working on the interior woodwork they stripped down and treated all of the interiors of each drawer and cabinet with a zolatone coating in gray which gives the appearance of a brand new aircraft when any drawer or cabinet door is opened on the aircraft.   All of the interior plating was removed throughout the entire cabin, and sent to be re-plated in a satin ultra pewter plating.   All of the interior cabin cup holders were discarded and replaced with a new style cup holder.     SPECIFIC INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS: The existing original style “skylight” type headliner was modified to a one piece consistent style headliner found in the new Falcon aircraft. Additionally the PSU’s were modified to have the same look as the Falcon 7X PSU.   Additionally all of the interior lighting throughout the galley, cabin, and lavatories were all modified to cool white LED lighting. COCKPIT REFURBISHMENT: The current owner requested that West Star Aviation remove every single instrument and component from the cockpit, including instrument panel, center pedestal, overhead panels, and send everything out for cosmetic refurbishment. During this process the entire instrument panel itself and pedestal area were also refurbished, to give the cockpit a “like new look” without any scratches, marks, dings, etc.     CABIN WINDOW & WINDOW SHADE REPLACEMENT: During the interior refurbishment process all of the cabin windows were removed from the aircraft, disposed of, and brand new cabin windows were installed.   Additionally all of the cabin window shades were removed, reinforced, and recovered in matching ultra leather to eliminate the “wavy look” which most Falcon 900’s have from years of sunlight and heat warping them.

COMPLETION CENTER: WEST STAIR AVIATION DATE: JANUARY 2015

This refurbishment project began with a vision of the interior/exterior space of the aircraft, based upon the client’s unique travel and design preferences. We helped articulate that vision and served as stewards of the project to ensure his vision becomes a reality. We approached this project from a technical, aesthetic, and economic perspective. Beginning with vendor selection, to design and review of drawings, engineering diagrams and materials selection we monitored the completions center’s work and ensured that schedules, inspections and other details are were fully addressed.   We also managed the avionics, lighting, and entertainment system upgrades to provide the optimum solution for the aircraft based on the mission requirements.   Our Careful attention to detail, consistent communication and customer service was our guarantee that the aircraft was finished to the highest standards of craftsmanship and technical precision.

As you can see Falcon 900-162 has had an incredibly extensive amount of upgrades over the last few years. When our long time client and friend tasked us to resell his Lear 60 and move him into a larger cabin class aircraft immediately we both agreed it had to be a Falcon. After some operational performance and cost analysis it quickly became obvious to both of us that the Falcon 900B fit his mission, his budget, and his task. The only issue we had was that there was nothing in the marketplace which matched our clients unique and modern style. So we decided to take the most intelligent route possible, which was to locate the single best pre-owned Falcon 900B in the world, buy it, and then refurbish and refit it to the clients specifications. When 900-162 appeared on the market it was an obvious choice on paper. One well known owner since new, super low total hours and landings, all of the programs, and impeccable maintenance history. We negotiated a deal and moved the aircraft to Duncan Aviation for an extensive pre-purchase inspection. The aircraft checked out as expected for a well looked after machine such as this. Immediately upon closing the client did a few much needed flights and as soon as his schedule cleared we were off to West Star Aviation, East Alton in order to make the new owners dream aircraft into a reality. Arriving to West Star and sitting through the design and planning session was very much a kid in the candy store moment. Without any budget limitations and a client looking to do something fresh and modern the sky was the limit. Winglets, 7X PSU, LED everything, all silver paint, matte finished wood, the aircraft sounded simply amazing during that initial meeting – and amazing it was. We were the project managers of the entire refit process and saw the aircraft come to life. The only thing more exciting than being involved in that process was to see the owners reaction at delivery. In todays market where the “great” aircraft seem to sell quicker than we can present them our buyers, options for well maintained, fully programmed, pedigreed aircraft are more and more limited. What 900-162 presents to its next owner is a fully turn key, one of a kind, highly upgraded, 2020 compliant example of a Falcon 900B. We can say with certainty you simply will not find another one like it. For the buyer that excepts nothing less than the extraordinary, this is the only choice.
