I Meeting Announcement

Ninth International LIMS Conference and Exhibition, Bonn, 7-9 June 1995

LIMS-95 is the ninth in a series of International Conferences on Laboratory Information Manage- ment Systems which are held in Europe and the USA on alternate years. On previous occasions the European venue has been in the UK but because of the importance of the topic to European industry the event has been moved to mainland Europe. This move has been welcomed by both the ven- dors and the speakers.

The successful exhibition of LIMS equipment has been ex- panded to include laboratory soft- ware and data processing equip-

ment and more exhibition space has been sold than on any pre- vious occasion. Exhibitors who have reserved stands include: Ax- iom, Beckman, Compex, Creon, Fisons, Hewlett Packard, ICD, Lab. Micro Systems, Labware, Perkin Elmer, SEMA, T & P Un- ternehmans, Varian and Wilnor.

Also for the first time parallel conference sessions will be held to cover all topics of interest, with special sessions for new users and for small laboratories as well as sessions covering large systems, integration with other operations, instrument connections and data processing.

Building on the success of the breakout sessions that were intro- duced at the last conference these have been extended to include vendor workshops, which will give the conference delegates an

opportunity of looking in detail at special features of the vendor’s products.

The conference, which is being organised by The Royal Society of Chemistry in collaboration with Eurachem and the European sec- tion of AOAC International, has attracted support from the UE Measurements and Testing Pro- gramme.
