THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER

O say can you see,—by the dawn's early light,

What so proudly we hail'dat the twilight's last gleaming

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,

O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof thro' the night—that our flag was still there.

0 say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave

O'er the land of the freeand the home of the brave?

MARYLAND ALMA MATER

Hail! Alma Mater!Hail to thee, Maryland!Steadfast in loyaltyFor thee we stand.Love for the Black and Gold,Deep in our hearts we hold,Singing, thy praise forever,Throughout the land.

Born in Baltimore City and educated in its public schools, Governor Agnew studiedchemistry for three years at The Johns Hopkins University before transferring to theUniversity of Baltimore to study law.
