I I 1of students in 42 states my motto, LETN O T H I N G D I S C O U R A G E Y O U . . .NEVER GIVE UP, inspiring many younglives with A purpose l i nked t o Cod. Yes,and I never would have given years toChristian Education in Georgia withoutsalary . . . alling in my tracks, helping 7boys and 52 girls through col lege. But, said my Bible-loving wife andsome of her devout friends, That con-tract with the Lord was long ago. He hasbrought you victoriously through manyt r ia l s . . .now i t would honor Him fa rmore for you to cross the continent andwitness for Him without crutches, not onlyas the personal Saviour of your soul, butas the Great Physician Who has healedyour body. And I knew it .Nobody knows how I suffered as I satunder the powerful preaching of Wm.Freeman, of winsome Oral Rob erts overthe radio, and dear Wilbur Ogilvie, whounder God prayed away the incipient can-cer on my face two years ago, after med-ical help had failed. All the time I haveprayed fo r appropriat ing faith. SomehowI just could not take hold and walk.

Then came Gods humble prophet, Wil-l iam Branham and that son of thunder(who can out-Hollywood Hollywood, a ndnever get away from Calvary), W. J. ErnBaxter , . . making one of the greatestevangelistic Bible teams that has everblessed the world since Paul and B arnabaslaid the pillars of G ods kingdo m on theshores of Tiherius and the Mediterranean.

REV. WILLIAM BRANHAMof Jeffersonville, IndianaAs we enter this fourth year ofpublishing THE VOICE OF HEAL-lNG, we are happy to be able to re-mind our readers, as well as ourselves, that the unique Divine Healingministry of Rev. William Branham, which was the foundation for the in-ception of this publication, is stilleffective and powerful, retaining thoseinitimable characteristics which madeit a sort of prologue to the significantmove of God which has been wit-nessed during these last four years.

As a monument to the permanentsoundness of the miracles and heal-ings around which this work revolves,we offer a recent letter substantiatinga testimony which was published inour May, 1948, issue. (See letter fromMrs. Phillips on next page.)Reflecting the light of victoriousprogress which so illumines our thirdanniversary issue is the awount (atleft) of the miracle healing of for-mer U. . Congressman Upshaw in a1951 Branham Campaign. For schedules of Brother Bran-hams and many other evangelistscurrent revivals, see page 7.We just knew Billy Branham would begreat, but we were not prepared fo r B ax-ter, who is an imperative John the Bap-tist, preparing the w ay for Branham.I sat entranced, slill praying for ap-propriating faith but holden, somehowof that contact, a n d . . . hat contract withthe Lord 60 odd years ago. Others werebeing healecl all around me. Then Bro.Branham, exhausted, was carried from theplatform. Angels were hovering near and 1knew my blessed wife and her prayerwarriors were wrapping me in prayer. Iremembered how she said, When you aretrying to lead a sinner to accept Christ, you say, Accept, confess Christ and stepo u t . . .He will do the rest and bring thefeeling.

It was the touchstone. BrotheLeRoy Kopp, Calvary Temples goldenhearted pastor, came back to the pupit and said, Brother BranhEm sayTHE CONGRESSMAN I HEALED!My heart leaped. I said in my bat t l insoul, Branham knows the mind oG o d . . will step out and accept thLord as my Healer. I laid aside mcrutches and started toward the startled LeRoy Kopp and my happyshouting wife. . and the bottom oheaven fell out!

Heaven came down our souls to greeand Glory crowned the Mercy Seat. AnIIOIV a t 84, with no gray hairs, and with0111 my boon companions for 59 years (mcrutches) I began a new life, joyously testifying that Christ the Great Physiciawho said, I am the Resurrection and thLife, can not only save the souls owicked men and women, but He can aniloes Ileal the bodies of the sick, thinaimed, the deaf, the dumb, and blindbringing Heaven down to this sinningstaggering world. My crutches are still oh e Calvary Temple pulpi t, and I amHappy on the w ay . . .Leaning on thEverlasting Arms. Praise God!

APPRAISAL OF THE HEALING CAMPAIGNS IN CUBA~ T he Greatest Method of1 Evangelization

H u g h P. P e t e r , S u p e r i n t e n d e n t , A s s e m b l i e s of God n C u b aI1 God has graciously granted us quite a number of large evangelistich d Divine Healing campaigns in the last 12 months. In several instancesthe crowds have reached, by conservative estimates, 20,000 o r more, and~rowds f 5 or 6,000 people standing in the ho t sun for an afternoon serv-i c e , are not unusual. Th e whole of th e island (some 700 miles long andM t h o ve r 5,000,000 inhabitants) is being stirred as it has never been stir-red before. Many would like to know just what the effects of such campaigns arebn a mission field such as Cuba and having been associated with practicallyall of th e campaigns here and helping to follow them up, I am glad to givethe following brief summary of the main effects of the campaigns held herein Cuba.

THOUSANDS HEAR THE GOSPEL1 In no other way can one preachthe Gospel of the Lord Jesus, whichis the Power of God unto salvation,to so many thousands of people. Inany towns where we have preached4ome together in all the history ofthe town. After struggling to get afe w people out to ou r halls to hear thew o rd o f God, what a thrill it is t o seeliterally thousands eagerly pressingtheir way to get to the stadium, o rpark, where they can h ear th e Gospel.vis is not a usual thing, as somefnight think. The people here, on thephole, have been far too indifferentto the Gospel.i, The divine power of Christ mani-

have neve r seen so many people

1 CONVINCED BY POWER TO ACCEPT CHRISTfested in the -instantaneous healingof multitudes of infirmities of everydescription convinces people of thereality of the Gospel and the powerof God, as nothing else can do. Oneexample is worth a thousand words, they s a y . With so many examplesof Gods power one does not have tobe an eloquent speaker to get soulst o accept Christ. Most of them areconvinced before t h e y even come tothe services because of the healing ofsome friend o r neighbor, and themoment the invitation is given to theunsaved, it seems that practicallyevery hand is raised for prayer. Manyof hese people become genuinely con-verted and form the beginning of avery good work.

OSBORNMISSIONARY AMPAIGNS) B T H ER S P OOFFifteen years ago I became the vic-tim of infantile paralysis , which rend-ered my left leg almost useless. In or-der to walk at all, P had to wear a braceat my hip and even then I would haveto brace my knee with my hand inorder to walk. During the OsbornHealing Campaign in the Baseball.Park here in Ponce, I was perfectlyand instantly healed. Also my left legwas two inches shorter than the other.I took off my brace, because as Bro-

ther Osborn grayed for me, it actual-ly felt like the brace came open byitself. On examining it, I found thatthe brace was still closed, but I feltsure if I would take it off, I would dis-cover that I was healed. I took it off,and for the first time in 15 years, Iwalked straight and without a brace.(Above le ft) Bda. SalistralMaria Victoria VelezPlaya de Ponce, P . R.

Last year when Brother Osborncame to Teatro La Perla here inPonce, I and my family attended andI was walking on crutches. From avery early age, I had T. B. of the hipbone. My hip joint had been com-pletely destroyed, and therefore Icould not wa l k without crutches.Brother Osborn laid hands on myforehead, and commanded that I bemade whole, and then he took mycrutches and commanded me to walk.I figured if he told me to, then I could, and I did. One year has passed now,and I have never used a crutch or anyother aid since. I am perfectly healed. For many months we hadcallers fromall over the Island, coming to see ifit were really true that I had beenhealed. I threw my canesdown and at Brother Osborns com-mand, I walked. When he said, InJesus name, WALK, I walked, andcure her. As-the critics attitude wasrevealed to Jesus when the man ap-peared in the temple with the witheredhand, I seemed to know what the au-dience was thinking. I called her tothe platform and asked her to sit tillI was ready to pray fo r her. Theence was on edge. I called fo r lier andprayed a simple prayer, for she hadgreat faith and was weeping. I com-manded her to throw her crutchesdown and walk. She did and was per-fectly healed at that moment, and theaudienoe screamed fo r, oy. The criticwas silenced and the meeting was on.For three days her house was full ofpeople of repute to know if it wasreally true. F or one year the Catholicshave tried to turn her from the faith,
