Description for 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep - serial number #57972
1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep - serial number #57972. First full year of civilian Willys Jeeps after Jeeps had a remarkable military career in
WWII. Has original engine and running gear except for wheels. It ran fine except for burning oil. Tie rods have been rebuilt and new
shocks installed plus a steering damper. The original color was yellow and it had a governor (long gone). Converted to 12v by virtue of
installing an alternator. No battery and no top. Last used and registered in 1999 - have title. I’d recommend installing the provided
new steering box. Have various spare or replacement parts that are included. The roll bar is not bolted in at present. Will have to be
towed (tow bar included) or transported on a trailer.
