Weekly PrayersPray that many people would truly believe in Jesus as we go through the Gospel of John.Pray for specific people in your life that you want to invite to “Come and See” Jesus.Pray that God would help you grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and that you would experience the abundant life that God wants to give you through him.

Application Questions

1, As you reflect on your own testimony and growth as a Christian, what are some reasons that you should be growing in your amazement that God loves you?

2. Read John 13:34-35. Why do you think Jesus singles out love here as such a supreme attribute of the Christian life? How should this reality challenge us?

3. Read John 20:30-31. What are some of the misconceptions in our culture about what it means to “believe in Jesus”? Why is it so important that we understand what this really means?

4. What were some of the changes you saw in yourself as you began to experience the “life” that comes from truly believing in Jesus?

5. Consider the seven “I AM” statements of John’s Gospel.I am the bread of life. (6:35)I am the light of the world. (8:12)I am the door of the sheep. (10:7)I am the good shepherd. (10:11)I am the resurrection and the life. (11:25)I am the way, the truth, and the life. (14:6)I am the true vine. (15:1)Now consider your life – especially some of the struggles you may be facing. How should these “I AM” statements affect your life and help you through difficult situations?
