1927 is an all-female Soul-Jazz-Pop crossover vocal ensemble inspired by the music and success of female groups such as “The Supremes” and “Destiny’s Child”. Each member has a voice type that is entirely unique from the other. Barbie, with her light melodious voice effortlessly sings Bossa and Latin while Apple’s wide and clear resonance is perfect for Broadway and retro love songs. Ashley’s full voice creates amazing renditions of classic and modern jazz of noted artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall and Adel. Although it proved to be a challenge in the beginning, the blending of the voices of these three very different yet talented ladies produces a myriad of tones that produces harmony like no other.
