Industrial Tour Organized by Shri B. M. Shah College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Modasa (18 th , January 2011) Report Shri B. M. Shah College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Modasa had organized an industrial visit for B. Pharm Semester – IV students on 18 th January, 2011 at Himtnagar and Gandhinagar. Started journey at 6:30 am and reach at Berna, where enjoyed natural beauty and took tasty breakfast. After reaching at Montage Laboratories, Himatnagar at 9:30 am, the representative of company and incharge manager introduced us about the aseptic area, β-Lactum antibiotics, non β- Lactum antibiotics, different manufacturing zone for both type of antibiotics, Washing machines for vials, ampoules and rubber closers, Large size horizontal autoclaves, Various batch manufacturing utensils, Filling and sealing machines for dry powder, solution (10-100 ml capacity), and ampoules, labeling and packaging machines for ampoules and vials. The lady incharge in Quality control department also introduced us about sterility testing; various instruments used in quality testing procedure and overall ideals about retain samples maintenance and testing. After moving at Sehat Pharmaceutical, Himatnagar at 11:30 am, which is ISO 9001 certified industry, manufactures tablets, syrup and ointment dosage forms at small scale. The general manager of the company knowledge’s the students about production department for syrup dosage forms, tablet granulation and manufacturing zone and last ointment preparation unit. Both the small pharmaceutical companies are available in Dhandha GIDC. So, approximately at 1:00 pm the students finished industrial visit after then took lunch at Montage campus, which was really delicious. Then moved to Gandhinagar at 4:30 pm for taking visit of “Vibrant Gujarat 2011 Expo” at Mahatma temple in which more than nineteen countries took part for business partnership. In exhibition, Metro-railway project (2013), Tata motors cars project, Gallary of tourisable place at Gujarat, ONGC, Power Grid Corporation, GMDC, Reliance, J. B. Chemicals and Cadila Zydus encourage our chief minister vision to make Gujarat a business Hub. In pharma sector many pharmaceutical across the world would invest approximately 26000 Cr. This visit was really amazing for us. Then started visit of science city at 6.00 pm, in which enjoyed 3D scientific movie named “Walking on The Moon” and largest musical fountain of the world. After reaching to the temple, the students enjoyed dinner with ice cream. Then arrived to college campus, Modasa at 11:30 pm.
