The anxious reaction may have been prompted by the particular intensity of this fireworks show. Within 20 minutes of administration of Sileo®, Winnie stopped barking, pacing and displaying other clinical signs of noise anxiety. Winnie then followed her regular routine for the evening, falling asleep at her usual time. On the second day of fireworks In addition to treating Winnie with Sileo®, the pet owner gave Winnie an almost empty jar of peanut butter to “clean up” as a method of counterconditioning. Winnie was alert enough to clean the peanut butter jar, indicating that Sileo® was not sedating. Noise anxiety can be tough to spot. Sometimes it can be quite challenging to recognise noise anxiety. When the pet owner realised that Winnie was experiencing noise anxiety, Winnie was already displaying several clinical signs. ! Fireworks started. Noise anxiety was recognised and Sileo® was administered. Winnie began responding to Sileo® 20 minutes aſter administration.
