Think 2019 / DOC 1800 / February 15, 2019 / © 2019 IBM Corporation
IBM’s statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice and at IBM’s sole discretion.
Information regarding potential future products is intended to outline our general product direction and it should not be relied on in making a purchasing decision.
The information mentioned regarding potential future products is not a commitment, promise, or legal obligation to deliver any material, code or functionality. Information about potential future products may not be incorporated into any contract.
The development, release, and timing of any future features or functionality described for our products remains at our sole discretion.
Performance is based on measurements and projections using standard IBM benchmarks in a controlled environment. The actual throughput or performance that any user will experience will vary depending upon many factors, including considerations such as the amount of multiprogramming in the user’s job stream, the I/O configuration, the storage configuration, and the workload processed. Therefore, no assurance can be given that an individual user will achieve results similar to those stated here.

Workspace is deployed using continuous development practices
—
Clients benefit from gaining access to fixes and features frequently
Updates occur every 4 weeks with advance notification on content and timing
Multi-tenant Workspace updates are for all customers
https://www.ibm.com/communities/analytics/planning-analytics-tag/pa-whats-new/
Single Tenant components updates occur roughly every quarter
—
If desired, Operations will update your development environment first to allow you to test it with your data
Can be arranged during a mutually agreeable time with operations
We recommend that clients always adopt the latest release, but clients are allowed to stick 2 versions behind*, roughly 6 months lag
* Security and compliance may dictate a forced upgrade. For example, GDPR.
Scheduled maintenance windows to apply critical patches on the third Saturday of every month
—
Includes security updates, hardware upgrades, and other activities that require downtime.
Notifications for the maintenance include:
– 7 days before maintenance window
– 72 and 24 hours before maintenance window
– Day of maintenance, a reminderis sent to the clients before the
start of maintenance, at 0500 hours Eastern time
– Another email is sent once maintenance is complete
