18 years at the service of LogisticsFrom 7th to 9th June 2016, the International Logistics and Ma-
terial Handling Exhibition will reach the year age with the cele-
bration of its 18th edition in Fira Barcelona. It is an Exhibition that,
as the result of the sector involvement, has consolidated itself as
the leading Exhibition in Spain and Southern Europe; as the
international point of reference where all logistics sectors are re-
presented, acting as a bridge for business between Europe, Latin
America, Africa and the Mediterranean.
An Exhibition where networking, business contacts and knowledge are more present than
ever before through the broad business offer presented by the participating companies, the wide
program of the greatest International Congress, which counts with the participation of outstanding
logistics leaders of every sector in the supply chain, and the different business meetings, fostered
by the creation of the “Círculo Logístico”, where logistics directors are the main protagonists. The
ensemble makes it a must-attend logistics event.
This year we celebrate the 14th Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum, the annual
platform and the referent of debate of the main sector topics within the Mediterranean. At the
same time, the 5th Latin American Logistics and Transport Summit will be held, a worldwide
reference conference with the main aim to reinforce the business links existing between Latin
America and Europe.
SIL 2016 will be very special, since we will also welcome the largest international congress of Latin
American industry, the XXXIII ALACAT Congress, of the Federation of National Associations
of Freight Forwarders and International Logistics Operators in Latin America and the Caribbean
(ALACAT). We are very excited about next SIL edition, since it will be a very powerful Exhibition,
with more participant companies, visitors and internationality, with the sum of the greatest Interna-
tional Congress of Logistics in Europe and Latin America, so I recommend you to do not miss it.
Barcelona, over the last 18 years of uninterrupted SIL celebration, has become the annual cros-
