Lenco is the most experienced and well-respected producer of tactical armored response & rescue vehicles in North America. With over 35 years experience, Lenco is a primary contractor and trusted supplier to Law Enforcement, Military and Government agencies worldwide. The Lenco BEAR® and BearCat® tactical armored vehicles have successfully defeated high caliber assault weapons, mortar frag, grenade attacks and roadside bombs - IED’s (Improvised Explosive Devices). Lenco vehicles have saved countless lives and have earned a well-deserved reputation as the Industry Leader in Tactical Armored Vehicles. Lenco Armored Vehicles are being used for Police SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics); Military & Government Special Operations for Strategic Facilities Defense, Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism; Border Patrol; and Convoy Security Details in war zones and other high threat areas. The Lenco BEAR and BearCat product lines include mission specific variants for Police, SWAT and Special Response Teams; MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected); MedEvac/Ambulance; Bomb Response/EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal); Anti-Riot and Civil Disturbance Response; and High Level Personal Protection.

Unlike military armored vehicles, the Lenco BEAR and BearCat are built on heavy duty commercial truck chassis platforms like Freightliner and Ford. This allows for warranty repairs at registered dealers, as well as ready maintenance service and parts replacements at truck repair centers, retail parts suppliers or by private fleet repair facilities. When considering the cost of ownership, it should be noted: in a US military base life cycle management report, it was determined the Lenco BearCat paid for itself in three years in maintenance costs alone over the cost of a non-commercial military armored vehicle. Lenco armored vehicles are built with the highest quality materials to provide ballistic and blast protection to defeat Threat Level B-7 (7.62 AP) and .50 Cal BMG (Browning Machine Gun). Additional ‘B-Kit’ Armor Panels are available to provide increased IED protection. Lenco armored vehicles are supplied with a long list of standard equipment and available options designed to meet mission specific requirements. Lenco armored vehicles are considered SME (Significant Military Equipment). As such, Lenco products are controlled under US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
