Symptom
You're having an issue using report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to generate a xml copy.
Environment
l Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 l Solution Manager 7.1
Reproducing the Issue
You're following the procedures described in this documentation below to generate a xml copy.
http://service.sap.com/mopz => How-to guide for the stack XML copy report (SAP note 1600302).
Cause
l Latest corrections for the report not applied or l The software components between the systems differ.
The report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML compares the source system software component SP level found in the <initial-state> section of the stack XML you want to copy, against the SMSY or LMDB software component level for the target system.
When one or more software component SP levels differ, the report stops with an error in order to guarantee the integrity of your system.
Some code errors cause false errors for this software component level comparison.
Resolution
1) Check if you applied the latest version of these notes below.
l 1600302 - MOpz: Copy stack xml with a report (Valid to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SP22-SP28 and Solution Manager 7.1 SP01-SP03). l 1649975 - MOpz: Stack XML copy report correction for dual stack system (Valid to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SP23-SP28 and Solution
Manager 7.1 SP01-SP04). l 1656579 - MOPZ: copy stack xml report correction (Valid to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SP23-SP28 and Solution Manager 7.1 SP01-
SP04). l 1795851 - MOpz: stack xml copy report corrections (Valid to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SP23-SP30 and Solution Manager 7.1 SP01-
SP08).
2) If you are receiving the following message error after applying the notes:
"Software Component Version <Software component><Software Component Version ID> differs between <SID1>[hostname1] and <SID2>[hostname2]."
This means, the source software components versions in the XML <initial-section> for system <SID1> and system <SID2> in SMSY/LMDB are different.
There are 3 reasons for this error:
l Components have different SP levels between the systems. l Components have the same SP level but different patch levels between the systems. l Components exist in one system but they don’t exist in the other system.
In some cases, manually patching SID2 (the target system) to meet the software component level of SID1 may solve the issue.
3) Check if rfc SAP-OSS is working in SM59, execute an Authorization test and check the result, in case of issues, follow the recommendations described in the message error.
