Baltimore-Metro Baseball League

The 16U Titans Baseball Club will be competing in the Junior Division of the Baltimore-Metro Baseball League in 2010.

Baltimore-Metro Baseball (BMB) was formed in 1977 and has grown to be one of the most successful baseball programs in the United States. Since 1977 BMB has had 52 World Series Champions and 15 players that made it in Major League Baseball.

The Titans will play a 30 game schedule that begins Saturday, May 22nd and finishes Sunday, July 11th.

Pastime Tournaments Memorial Day Classic

The 16U Titans Baseball Club will be competing in the Memorial Day Classic in Morgantown, WV.

Pastime Tournaments (PT) is a nationally recognized baseball tournament host with events hosted from TX to PA/MD and everywhere in between. PT has an elite series of amateur travel baseball tournaments for team’s 14-18U.

The Titans will play a 5 game schedule with the top 2 teams advancing to the Championship on Monday.

16U WWBA National Championship

The 16U Titans Baseball Club will be competing in the 16U WWBA National Championship in Marietta, GA Tuesday, July 13th through Monday, July 19th.

The Titans will play a minimum of 6 games with the Pool Play schedule beginning Tuesday, July 13th. The top teams will advance to the Single Elimination Championship Bracket running Sunday, July 18th & Monday, July 19th.

Triple Crown U.S. Championships

The 16U Titans Baseball Club will be competing in the 16U Triple Crown U.S. Baseball Championships in Richmond, VA Tuesday, July 27th through Saturday, July 31st.

Some Titans players will be participating in the College Exposure Clinic on Tuesday.

The Titans will begin pool play on Wednesday, July 28th. The top teams will advance to the Single Elimination Championship Bracket running Friday, July 30th & Saturday, July 31st.

Coach Hank Adams

Coach Adams is in his second year with the team and his first as Head Coach.

Coach Adams has coached in the Titans Organization since its inception in 1999 coaching teams from 12U through 18U. Prior to coaching, Adams played collegiate baseball for Bluefield State Col-lege from 1997 to 2001 where he was a four year starter and two year team captain. After graduating from BSC, Adams represented Team USA Athletes in Germany winning a bronze medal in the German Open in the Summer of 2001.

Coach Adams currently resides in Elkridge, MD with his wife, Diane and their daughter Mallory.

COACHING STAFF

Coach Ed Hobbs

Coach Hobbs is in his second year with the team as the Outfield and Hitting Coach.

Coach Hobbs has coached baseball for 10 years. He has assisted the Titans in their Fall Clinics and Development Leagues during the past three years. Prior to joining the Titans, he managed travel baseball programs in the Hampstead/Manchester area of Carroll County. Coach Hobbs has also helped with the North Carroll High School baseball team.

Coach Hobbs currently resides in Hampstead, MD with his wife, Pam and their children Jen and Drew.


Coach Butch Adams

Coach Adams is in his fifth year with the team. He stepped down as Manager after last season and remains on the staff as the Pitching and Bench Coach.

Coach Adams has coached baseball for 25 years in and around the Baltimore-Metro area and is the President of the Titans Organization. He was the Head Coach of the first 15U Titans Baseball Club Team and has coached in the Organization every year since its inception. He was a High School coach at Westminster High School from 1999 through 2006. He also worked with the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox Fall Showcase Team as their Pitching Coach from 2001 through 2008.

Coach Adams currently resides in Westminster, MD with his wife, Michelle.

TITANS BASEBALL CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT The Titans Baseball Club is committed to teach and develop the essential skills and mechanics of baseball to young athletes who possess the ability and a positive attitude. The teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership qualities learned while a member of the Titans Organization will be the foundation of standards a Titan will use the rest of his life.

HISTORY The Titans Baseball Club was established back in the Fall of 1998 with the idea of working with Varsity High School baseball players and develop their skills to prepare them for Collegiate Baseball. In the Spring of 1999 the Titans Baseball Club had one 15U team that competed in the Baltimore Metro Baseball League. The original Titans team had 6 of the 14 players go on to play Division I, II & III baseball. During the past 12 years the Titans Baseball Club has expanded their development to include younger athletes that desire to play competitive baseball and are working to play High School baseball. Currently the program has over 100 athletes that participate in their camps, clinics and teams. The Titans has developed Varsity High School, Division I, II & III College, and even professional athletes.

THIS YEAR In 2010, the Titans Baseball Club fields 7 teams ranging from ages 9 through 16 that are participating in the Baltimore-Metro Baseball and Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association leagues and tournaments in the MD/DC/VA/DE/WV/PA area.
