EXPERIENCE
Operations Projects, Technical and Maintenance Manager ▪ June 2012 – Feb 2016
Offshore Marine Services Alliance (part of Skilled Group) ▪ Henderson, Western Australia
Project Manager (contract, cost, risk and execution) for major marine works including;
� Planning and Project Control for 20+ vessels mobilizations and demobilizations
- Vessel Suitability, modifications, Charter Party/ on hire proceedings,
Importation, through life client/ subcontractor representation, deportation
inc off hire logistics control to owners.
� Site Hull and Machinery Repair and 25yr Class restoration of world’s largest non-
propelled, semi-submersible heavy lift vessel (Gavea Lifter) in Batam, Indonesia-
6mth contract
� Design, construction, contract Management, through to site commissioning for non-
vessel projects including: Reverse Osmosis Units – inc electrical integration into PSV’s
, Shore Side Generator Sets for accommodation Barge, gangways, boarding platforms
and Ro -Ro Ramps. All commissioning completed in Barrow Island under Chevron’s
HSE and Project requirements.
� 5 off Barge Ballasting projects-
- Overall planning and control of 3 module loadouts onto 300’ barges at the
Australian Marine Complex – Project Lead Representative for Chevron
- Overall planning, management and control of Class recertification,
commissioning, float off’s, international transit of temp grounded barge
Wharfs – Winbuild 1401/ Gavea Lifter from Chevron loadout facilities.
- all completed under Chevron HSE requirements
� All projects required Contract, Cost, Risk and execution management
Technical and Maintenance Management;
� Overarching control and delegation of duties to marine superintendents, project
administrators, maintenance and procurement staff.
� Technical and Maintenance Sub-Contractor management
� Contracts / rental Agreements signatory and through life control
� Management of company Repair and Maintenance budget.
� Technical and Quality Manager for over a dozen dry docking hull repairs. All repairs
conducted under ABS Class Certification. Creation of Sub Contractor ITP’s including
verifying/ witnessing welding qualifications and approval of used welding and
fabrication standards
� Workshop / Berth and Site asset Manager
� OVID and vessel technical certification management.
� Marine Operations/ Logistics Management support for – Berth age, planning, vessel
movement, stores, crewing for fleet
� Company Senior Management Delegate for Technical and Projects, reporting to client
and company board
� Internal Company / External ( Chevron/ KJV )Operations and Technical delegate for
Incident Investigations

Project Manager (FEED, contract, cost, risk and execution) for major works including;
� Woodside/DORIC King Bay Supply Base LNG tug pens: construction/ installation
o Received Doric’s Contractor of the Year Safety Award
o Received 2 nominations for 2011 WA Engineering Excellence Awards
� John Holland QCLNG ferry pontoons and walkways (Vietnam, steel and aluminum
construction / Curtis Island, Queensland installation and commissioning).
� Western Australian Government ,Australian Marine Complex, Fabrication,
commissioning and Installation of 21 ship set cradles
� Waterways Sydney, Ferry pontoons (Vietnam/ Australian Construction Content).
Operations Manager Duties included;
� Overarching management of all onsite/ offsite works logistics in accordance to all
project HSEQ and contractual requirements from project set-up, installation and
commissioning of works.
� Day to Day running of the Engineering, Construction, Refit and Repair Facilities.
� ISO 9001 Accreditation Document Creator/ Audit team member.
� Development and control of budget, schedules, method statements, inspection
and test plans and MDR in accordance with the Supplier Document Schedule.
� QA/QC manager, responsible for all document creating and certification upkeep
including all welding WPS and PQR approvals.
� Procurement of specialized material and contractible services
� Completion of works in accordance relevant local and Class standards, including
organizing and liaison with surveyors
� Management of local FIFO / overseas 457 visa holders staffing inclusive of rosters
and employment conditions.
Assistant Project Manager Floating Dry Dock (Steel Build) ▪ March 2009 – Jan 2010

Assistant Project Manager for major works;
� Construction of 100 metre dry dock for LandCorp at the AMC in Henderson.
Project value approx. $60M AUD.
� Project scheduling for construction component using MS Project 2007, to ensure
client expectations and schedules were met or exceeded.
� Quality control/ Quality Assurance; ensuring completion of ITP’s and compliance
with Classification Society, Bureau Veritas. QA/QC for welding and fabrication
deliverables including workshop WPS and PQR creation and certifying with class
� Personnel management for over 100 staff and subcontractors across all
departments, including boilermakers, fitters, welders, fibreglassers, painters and
electricians.
� Management of OHS, employment and workers compensation issues.
� Job delegation, meeting management and safety committee member.
� Management of outsourced component construction schedules.
