Clinical techniques will then be demonstrated for correct placement of composites in order to avoid all of these major problems. Broad, tight contactareas, an even occlusion and perfect anatomy are all routinely possible when the appropriate materials, instruments and techniques are applied The role of glass-ionomer cements and flowable composites will be covered in the context of their use as liner materials and recommendations for the use of the newer bulk fill materials will be presented. Hands-on exercises (second session) for attendees to restore typodont teeth using the techniques. Step-by-step placement rechniques will be demonstrated, and attendees will be able to use the recommended instrumentation and gain experience using several different restorative materials.
