Research Seminar on Ayurveda (IRSA)

Expert conference for researchers, scientists and medical professionalsTopics

· Forum “Mental Health”

· Forum “Young Research”

· White paper: The future of Ayurveda research

The First International Research Seminar on Ayurveda (IRSA) is a major step forward from the research satellites that have been organised during the International Ayurveda Symposia from 2011 to 2013. It aims to bring together like-minded researchers, practitioners, scholars, policy makers, regulators and scientists from across the globe to visualise and nurture a research agenda for Ayurveda that will facilitate its global development.

The first edition of IRSA aims to discover applications of Ayurveda that can address wide gaps in the promotion of mental health in modern society. It also creates an opportunity for young researchers to present their research projects before international peers. However, the major focus of IRSA is to draft a white paper that will lay out the road map for future research in Ayurveda. IRSA aims to create an effective network of individuals and institutions worldwide that is capable of setting top priorities for research on Ayurveda, envisage specific research projects and also generate funding for implementation. In addition, the 1st International Research Seminar on Ayurveda serves as the 2nd Insight Ayurveda Conference which the AVP Research Foundation initiated in Coimbatore, India in 2013.
