POLYESTER CASTING

Features of the ProductHygiene: Polyester casts are lightweight, durable and water resistant. The open weave allows the skin to ‘breathe’, decreasing sweating, itching, maceration, and resulting body odors.

Conformability & Moldability:The multi-directional stretch of the polyester carrier bandage enables easy application and conforms well to the body contours without the need for tucks or folds. The low tack resin coating allows easy molding.

Removal/ Disposal:Easy to remove using traditional cast saw with less dust than fi berglass products. Removed casts can be incinerated resulting in less waste.

Strength:Polyester casts have the strength, rigidity, and lightness of comparable fi berglass casts.

Radiolucency:Excellent X-ray translucency negates the need to remove casts in order to obtain a clearly detailed fi lm image for diagnostic purposes. The minimal ‘image obscuring’ also enables decreased radiation exposure.
