Our Mission“The mission of the Blue Earth County Fair Association is to provide facilities to accommodate a variety of activities. These facilities will be designed and maintained to serve the activities and needs of 4-H youth, individuals, community and government groups as well as businesses. The primary objective of the Association is to promote, plan and put on an annual Fair for the benefit of 4-Her’s, youth and adult residents of Blue Earth County: allowing them to showcase their accomplishments and talents in a safe family atmosphere while providing activities, entertainment and learning opportunities to the diverse residents of Blue Earth County and surrounding areas.”

Dear Supporters,This past years has again been my privilege to serve as your Blue Earth County Fair Association President. The support from individuals and businesses has been outstanding and a pleasure to see you again at our County Fair.

I am pleased to see both old and first time vendors at the fair. The entertainment has been a little more tricky not to move away from what we have always done but to look for types of entertainers to draw a new individuals as well as keeping some of the older traditions. It is with excitement that we will have two new bands performing on the Entertainment Stage. On Friday evening we will have the Fat City All Stars and on Saturday, Levi Pelzer Band (more information page 11). NEW to the Grandstand, will be an ATV Barrel Racing event Thursday evening. For more information check out our website. This will be for both kids and adults. As board members, we are continuing our efforts to refurbish and upgrade the grounds not only for the Fair but also for the Campground. We installed internet to the campground making vendors and campers more excited to come our facilities. This year our goal is to get the grounds up to date with electrically. In doing this we are opening ourselves up to bring in bigger events to facility, for example this August, we will be having a music festival, weekend of the 9th & 10th.My one regret is not having the Memorial Park started this past year, but rest assured, I have not forgotten about it...it is a goal of mine to make a place for generations to come to and for their kids see that their family were a part in making our Fair the Oldest one in the State of Minnesota. THIS IS SOMETHING WE AS A COUNTY SHOULD BE VERY VERY PROUD OF.Another goal of ours is our grandstands, they need some TLC attention for safety purposes and longterm thougths of replacing and expanding. We will be looking for grants, donations and in-kind services to help us achieve these goals. Thus allowing our grantstand events to grow and draw more spectators to watch bigger attractions at our Fairgrounds.Again, I look forward to serving you this year and meeting you....I will be at the Fair from Thursday to Sunday, so please stop by and say hi....if you like to talk to me stop by the office and they will page me.....together working hand in hand we can and will make our Fair the best it can be!

Thank you for your support!
