Flow Meter Maintenance and AdjustmentRefer to the following procedure when removing the flow meter for maintenance or service.

1. To avoid introducing foreign material to the AccuFlow system, brush off the outside of the flow meter before disassembling and removing the flow meter.
2. Carefully remove the retaining rings.3. After discharging Accuflow system of NH3, remove grooved couplings attaching flowmeter to assembly.4. Remove the bearing hub, turbine hub, and turbine from inside flow meter housing. Inspect the turbine shaft
and hub bearings for wear.
DANGERAnhydrous ammonia can cause severe burning, blindness, or death. Refer to Discharging the AccuFlow™ System section on page 4 or page 50 and follow the procedure for bleeding the AccuFlow system before beginning maintenance.

When servicing Valve:
Replace valve body with iso-body kit (item 10) if valvehas been leaking internally.
Replace motor assembly if the motor will not run.
Before reassembling valve, remove the coupler shaftfrom the valve body. Apply Loctite (item 12) tocoupler shaft and woodruff key. Place the couplershaft (item 5) and the woodruff key (item 4) onto themotor shaft. Plug motor into the valve connectorcoming from Sprayer Control Console. Check thatthe motor rotates in both directions. Motor must stopwhen coupler shaft CAM releases printed circuitboard button.
When reassembling valve, grease both sealing sur-faces of coupler shaft. Insert coupler shaft into iso-flange and be sure seal properly seats on shaft.Install motor on valve body and apply silicon sealantto mounting holes. Reassemble remaining items asshown in parts diagram.

To Assemble:1. Run motor assembly to fully closed position. Also, make sure ball valve is closed.2. Assemble bracket to valve.3. Thread coupler on ball valve the entire way, then back off (no more than 1 turn) until coupler is in
position shown above. Tighten cap screw (item 6).4. Assemble Valve/Bracket to motor assembly using items 10 & 11.5. Tighten the two cap screws (item 5).
