Systematic Validation - Stepping Stone ProcessThe requirement to systematically validate the RTOs assessments has been included in previous national training standards. And now, through the detailed requirements in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, an opportunity exists to develop and implement a comprehensive quality review process. One that can provide proof that the RTO’s assessment practices and judgements are true and correct.

Workshop DetailsWHAT WILL BE COVERED?• Determining an appropriate planned approach to validation through assessment of the ‘relative risks’ of training products on scope• Conducting pre-assessment validation of assessments to ensure they comply with the assessment requirements of the relevant training package or VET accredited course and satisfy the Principles of Assessment and the rules of evidence• Conducting post-assessment validation of the assessment evidence and judgement made by an assessor to ensure it satisfi es the Rules of Evidence• Determining a statistically valid sample size to enable confi dence that the result is suffi ciently accurate to be accepted as representative of the total population of assessments being validated• Determining random numbers for validation purposes; and• Tuning the provided systematic validation procedure and validation planning and recording forms to the requirements of the RTO
