SMC (Sheet Molding Compound)SMC is the abbreviation of Sheet Molding Compound, of which the main material consists of special yarn, unsaturated resin, low shrinkage agent, lubricant, fillers and various auxiliary components. It firstly appeared in Europe in the early 1960s, and being developed in the United States in around 1965. SMC boasts for its superior electrical performance, corrosion resistance, flexibility, being light and easy for engineering design. Its mechanical performance is comparable with some of metal materials, thus it is widely used in transport vehicles, construction, electronic / electrical industry etc.

The wide application of SMC covers:

1. Auto industrySuspension parts, front and back bumpers, dashboards, etc.; body and body parts, hard shell roof, non-slippery floors, flow-resistance, shade cover, the hood; under parts of the motor shell, wind enclosures, fan-guided laps, engine noise barriers; inside decorative parts: door handles, instrument panel, steering rod parts.

2. Application in railwayChairs, table surface; rail window frames, siding and roof compartment, railway signal transponder.

3. Application in electric and communication project Electric shell: electrical switch boxes, electrical wiring boxes, cable distribution box shell, terminal distributor; electronicengineering applications: antenna reflector enclosures, radar shell, printed circuit boards, electrical components: insulator, insulation operation tools, electrical switch; communications equipment applications: phone shell, cable distribution boxes, telephone booths.

4. Application in construction projectHigh-level roof water tanks, septic tank; shower supplies: bath, wash tank, waterproof disk, Toilet; architectural templates, storage components: siding, ceiling, door frames.

5. OthersContainers, pole jacket, tools, hammer handles and shovel handles, dining utensils, shelf tray.

BMC (Bulk Molding Compound)BMC/DMC is the abbreviation of Bulk/Dough Molding Compound, of which the main material consists of short-cut glass fiber, unsaturated resin, low shrinkage agent, lubricant, fillers and the preg of fully mixed various additives. BMC material was firstly applied in the former West Germany and the United Kingdom in 1960s, and then greatly developed in the 1970s and 1980s in the United States and Japan. Because of its excellent electrical and mechanical performance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistant, adapting to various molding processes to meet requirements of many products on performance, it is more and more welcomed by the majority of users.

The wide application of BMC covers:

1. Electronic componentsLow-voltage category: RT series, disconnecting switch, air switch, distribution boards, the meter casing; high-voltage categories: insulators, insulated enclosures, arc-suppression hood, closed-lead plate, ZW, ZN vacuum series.

2. Auto accessoriesLights launchers, i.e. Japan reflector lights, of which most are made with BMC, vehicle ignition, separation and decorative plates, speaker boxes and etc;

3. Motor componentsAC motors, motor shaft, coil skeleton, electric and steam moving parts.

4. Daily appliancesMicrowave dishes, shell of electrical iron.

Advantages of PE powder compared to other low shrinkage additives ;
