ESCO comes to rescue!
How we embedded ESCO in the project• Browsing the «transversal skills» available in V. zero
• 5 macrocategories of transversal skills:
• Application of knowledge
• Attitudes and values at work
• Language and communication
• Social skills and competences
• Thinking skills and competences
• Each of these categories is further broken down into macro-areas and specific skills, with a total listing of over 200 items.
How we embedded ESCO in the project
• Launching a survey asking professionals and counselors their opinion on the most important «transversal skills» in greening processes for low-medium skilled profiles and high profiles.
• About 200 «scorecards» collected (8 countries)
What kind of transversal skills?
• Considering overall scores with no distinction between training contexts or professional profiles, the most important transversal skills for greening processes indicated by respondents fall into the category of “Attitudes and Values at Work” and “Social skills and competences”.

Tool for ANTICIPATING SKILLS AT LOCAL LEVEL – scenario writing (Output 5)
Output 5 in the project plan
• ACROSS transversal skills forecast tool has been developed by capitalising on the existing good practices.
• The tool is dedicated to firms, in particular SMEs to support them in planning HR needs.
• The tool consists of a company ”check up” survey for green skills.
• The tool is consistent with ESCO, projects occupational profiles and related competencies.
• It will be a blended tool with a mix of ICT and professional support service:
1) On line resource
2) Guided tool to support SMEs.

THE ACROSS TOOLKIT
It is the result of a joint effort made by all Across partnersthrough contributions and collection of a series of methods/exercises/tools for the valorisation and capitalizationof green transversal competences fostering employability and entrepreneurship in greening sectors
It is meant to be used in initial and continuing education and training schemes
It is consistent with the set of skills and competences identified
as “key assets” during the first phase of the Across project
The tool-kit provides background and support materials to thoseprofessionals designing and implementing guidance and capacity-building programmes and initiatives
