Restaurant, in the heart of Piedmont, on Lake Orta. It enjoys the superb

natural setting of Lake Orta, the most romantic of all the Italian lakes, in

the heart of Piedmont. Easily reached from Milan’s international Mal-

pensa airport, the villa’s exotic design is magically reminiscent of the

tales of a Thousand and One Nights.

In 1879 successful cotton merchant built this Villa in authentic middle

eastern style with an unusual feature, its very own minaret inspired by

the fascinating splendour of Baghdad’s architecture.

During the 1930’s literary figures, captains of industry and royalty were

frequent visitors to the villa. The Italian King at that time, Umberto of

Savoy, was in fact a regular guest there.

After a period as a place of spiritual retreat, it was converted at the

end of the 1980’s into an exclusive hotel where nature, art and history

entwine leaving guests with lifelong memories of their stay.

AccomodationsThe villa counts many gorgeous rooms :

Classic : these rooms have king-size beds and one of the two superior

rooms can have twin beds on request. Each has its own own private

balcony with partial lake view, and marble bathroom with jacuzzi tubs.

They are furnished with period furniture and enjoy air-conditioning, di-

rect dial phone, satellite TV and Sky, mini-bar, safe.

Deluxe :

The two deluxe rooms both have four-poster canopy beds with silk

hangings and views over the villa’s gardens. Period furniture, air-con-

ditioning, direct dial phone, satellite and Sky TV, mini bar and safe com-

plete the amenities of these rooms. The opulent marble bathrooms have

shower only

Junior Suites:

The two junior suites have king-size double beds and enjoy garden

views. Finely appointed with period furniture and paintings, the blue silk

wall hangings in the deluxe rooms are reminiscent of the rich oriental

color in the restaurant’s blue room . Both enjoy air-conditioning, direct

dial phone, satellite and Sky TV, mini bar, and safe.

The Imperial and the Queen Victoria Suite have a king-size canopy bed

and stunning lake view. The period furniture and paintings, air-condi-

plete this master suite’s amenities. The large opulent marble bathrooms

with hydro massage bathtub or shower have views over the villa’s gar-
