Final Newsletter

This is my final newsletter at Girton

Glebe – the 200th

edition!

Ten years ago, in Issue 1, we

welcomed teachers Sarah Heslop and

Rebecca Fuller, reminded families of

the September curriculum evenings

and noted that school meals had risen

to £1.55. It is hard to believe that this

was before the majority of our pupils

today were even born.

In the ten-year journey that has

followed, we have all worked hard to

create the very best experiences for

children, whatever else has been going

on in the world of education. This has

been an enormous privilege and I

have enjoyed working with great

staff, supportive families and the

most fantastic children.

Every single day our staff room bears

witness to stories of those little steps

(and sometimes great leaps) of

progress that children make

throughout their time at Primary

School and this is what makes

teaching such a rewarding career.

I have no doubt that the school will

continue to improve, continue to

grow and continue to go from

strength to strength in the many

years to come. Good luck everyone!
