MYRTHA® POOLSMyrtha pools are an engineered solution to the challenge of providing high quality poolinstallations with the minimum lead time.B+W is the approved UK sole supplier andinstallation contractor for Myrtha® stainless steel swimming pools. Myrtha® pools have beenapproved for competition by F.I.N.A. (FederationInternationale de Natation Amateur) and arerecommended to the swimming federation ofEurope by LEN (Ligue Europeene de Natation).The exclusive Myrtha® solution consists of using

stainless steel where static and dynamic strength isrequired (wall structure) and concrete where asimple flat surface (the floor) is needed. Myrtha®

pool walls have a permanently laminated hard PVCmembrane bonded to the steel to ensure longevityand perfect waterproofing. This special grade PVCis resistant to UV and the aggressive pool water; ithas a soft touch, is easy to clean and carries theguarantee of a maintenance free lifetime. TheMyrtha® pool structure may follow any shape tocomply with the most complex architectural design.

FLOORS AND BOOMSMoveable floors and booms can be provided toimprove the functionality of your swimming pool byallowing water depth to be varied and/or the poolsplit into sections for different activities.

DesignedTechnology - Water Treatment

In B+W you will find a team who are focussed not only on design and aesthetics but people who make sure that these values arealigned to the highest standards of water quality. Water quality is theessential criterion affecting the health of your customers with itsobvious impact upon risk management for you.

B+W is the country’s longest established specialistdesigner and supplier of pool water treatmentsystems and this experience, coupled with ourinnovative technology, guarantees that you receivethe very best products and services available.

DESIGNOur engineers will interpret your requirements and convert them into working solutions. In-housedesign software is used to select filtration anddisinfection equipment to provide you with thesafest, most cost-effective solutions.

FILTRATIONB+W provide filtration systems which are designedto suit projected bathing loads. Medium or slow rate sand filters in stainless steel, mild steel or GRP formthe back bone of the plant. Automatic backwashingof the filters offers an added refinement.

DISINFECTIONStandard primary disinfection of the pool water isachieved using a chlorine donor, most commonlysodium or calcium hypochlorite. For high batherloads and to improve the swimming poolenvironment, this may be supplemented by UVRadiation, Ozone or Uvazone® (a combination of UV and Ozone). As well as improving the quality ofwater, these additional treatments have the addedbenefit of allowing the standard primary chlorinesystem to operate at a lower set point, therebyreducing the amounts of chemicals in the pool.

HYDRAULICS The circulation system including the pumps, pipework and pool fittings are all designed to suit theplant flow and ensure quality treated water isdelivered efficiently to all areas of the pool.

PLC CONTROLS Sophisticated microprocessor control systemsprovide precise monitoring and control to createimproved quality of water.

Each thermal cabin functions as either aTepidarium, Caldarium, Laconium or Aroma bath. It is also possible to integrate all thefunctions in just one cabin and set the mode viaan automated control panel. This flexibility indesign means that each client can create aunique thermal experience for their Spa.

TEPIDARIUM (HEAT BATH)The Tepidarium is heated to a temperature ofabout 38°C corresponding to an artificial fevertemperature. This allows the body to relax completelywhile the immune system is stimulated andstrengthened.

CALDARIUM (STEAM BATH)Mild radiation heat at a temperature of about42°C together in inhalation steam which can becombined with an aroma. The Caldarium is idealfor skin and hair treatment and excellent forrespiratory organs and detoxifying the body.

LACONIUM (ROMAN PERSPIRATION BATH) A temperature of approximately 55-65°C slowlywarms up the body, initiating intensive purificationand detoxification of the body. A stay of about onehour is recommended.

AROMA BATHMild currents of warmth and essential oils aretherapeutic for problems in the upper respiratorytract. Depending on the aroma ingredients chosenthis bath can be either detoxifying or stimulating.
