HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE

If you are available to assist with

decorating the church for Easter

on Saturday, April 4th, at 10AM,

please contact the parish office.

Three Days that Changed the World The Liturgies from the Mass of the Lord’s Supper

on Holy Thursday through the evening of Easter

Sunday are referred to as the “Triduum,” meaning

“three days.” These are the days in which we are

given the opportunity to share in the mystery and

power of the Father’s love as lived out in the

suffering of Jesus, His Son. It is perhaps most

helpful to think of these days, not as separate

celebrations, but as one continuous remembrance

in which we meet and follow Jesus.

Please remember to return

your CRS Rice Bowls that

contain your Lenten donations

beginning this weekend.

Baskets will be available in the church. All of our

Lenten donations will be part of the offertory

procession on Holy Thursday, April 2nd.

Social Committee Coordinator Needed

The Social Events Committee helps to create opportunities in fellowship by focusing on events that foster the community and family life of our Parish. The committee helps to brainstorm, organize, plan, and execute social events that help to keep our parish family connected to one another. Please call the parish office if you are interested in this ministry.

Prolife Coordinator Needed The parishes of Leominster are consolidating their

Prolife efforts and would like some representatives

from OLL to take part in these activities. If you are

interested, please contact Fr. Dennis immediately.

MARCH 28/29, 2015

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION and SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES

How about making a Cursillo weekend?

Cursillo or "short course in Christianity" is an uplifting and educational experience. The weekend is conducted by a team of laypeople and clergy who deliver organized talks and discussions. The next Men’s Cursillo weekend is being held June

25-28, at the Prindle Pond Conference Center in Charlton, MA. The next Women’s Cursillo weekend is being held July 30-August 2, at Nichols College in Dudley, MA.

For additional information and/or an application, please contact: Carolyn Galgano, 508-847-7005, [email protected] OR Joan Laracy, 774-239-

2474, [email protected].

March is Religious Education Month! In the quest to complete our annual registration process for the 2015-2016 school year, before the summer break and while we still have clerical help, we are asking parents to register your children when you bring them for classes during the month of March. Registration forms may be picked up, completed, and left for us on the table outside the Religious Ed. Office in the Parish Family Center. Each form is numbered as it comes in. Although we try to honor your choice, we can only guarantee your choice of day for the first 100

families. Early registration is to your advantage as parents retain the ability to make changes to your choice of day up until mid August, should your schedule change later on in the spring.

The Ice Cream Party with Fr. Dennis for all children who have completed their Lenten workbooks is scheduled for Sunday, April

26th, after the 9:45AM Mass. All students planning on attending the party should bring their completed Lenten booklet with them. Please call the parish office if you intend to join us.

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, April 25th

St. Boniface Church, Lunenburg

Cynthia Giardina of the Campion Retreat Center will return to St. Boniface to again lead a Day of Reflection. The theme for the day will be Praying the Name of Jesus. Tradition and Scripture call Jesus by many names. This day of reflection will help us explore, understand, and pray more fully with Jesus, the ‘Pray-er’, the Teacher, the Healer, and the Good Shepherd.

We will meet from 9AM-3PM. A pot-luck lunch will be available for a small fee for the day. Last year 23 men and women attended the Day of Reflection and they all found it very worthwhile and enjoyable. Please consider joining us this year. If interested speak to Deacon Tony Fiore 978-772-3731 or email: [email protected]

Taizé at Assumption College

Friday, April 10th, 7PM

Please join Brothers John and Emile from the monastery at Taizé, France, for an Easter Evensong with chants and prayers.

At 7PM a brief introduction to Taizé in the Atrium of the Testa Science Center. At 7:30PM a candlelight procession to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit where there will celebration prayer it the style of the Taizé community.

Come see who thousands of young pilgrims descend on a little town in France each year. This is an ecumenical prayer service and open to all.

If you missed any of the Parish Mission guest speakers, you may view them online at our parish website www.ourladylake.org. Click on Faith Formation

and then on Parish Mission and select the evening you wish to view. DVDs are also available in the church for our parish members to share.

Christian Service Scholarships:

Once again this year, through the generosity of parish tithing, the Stewardship Committee is pleased to announce the availability of Christian Service Scholarships for the young people in our parish who have demonstrated significant voluntary service to our parish family and their community. These onetime scholarships are intended to be used to help defray the cost of post-secondary education. Applications, with a cover sheet explaining eligibility, are available in the Parish Office or in the Sacristy. Deadline for submission is April 12.

Scholarships will be awarded at the 9:45 AM Baccalaureate Mass on May 31.

is continuing, we thank those of you

who have made a gift already.

If you have not yet completed your

pledge, please prayerfully fill out a

commitment pledge envelope located in the pew and

return it to the church office or in the collection basket.

If you received an envelope from the Diocese you may

mail it directly to them or return it to us. You can also

make your Partners in Charity donation online by

visiting: www.partners-charity.net.

To date we have raised $10,722 from 72 contributors.

Our parish goal is $63,000 this year. Every gift is

important, thanks you for your generosity.

Thank you to Msgr. Mongelluzzo for an outstanding Faith Formation series on Understanding the Mass.

We are so fortunate to have Msgr. Jim available to us

and we are grateful for his generous time and

commitment to our parish.

If you were unable to attend any of these evenings,

you may still take part by viewing them on our parish

website: www.ourladylake.org. Click on the Liturgy &

Worship tab and you will see Understanding the Mass,

you will find these video recordings here.

In addition to being able to view these videos on the

website, parishioner Mike Raspuzzi has also provided

DVDs for parish members to share and enjoy at home.

You may find these DVDs by the statue of St. Joseph

in the church.

“Let us remember with devotion this entry which

began His saving work and follow Him with a

lively faith. United with Him in His suffering on

the cross, may we share His resurrection and new

life.”
