PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: Tracy Area Public Schools will receive sealed Bids for Addition and Alterations to Tracy Area Elementary School, located at 700 South 4th Street, Tracy, Minnesota 56175, in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by Armstrong, Torseth, Skold & Rydeen, Inc., Architects and Engineers, 8501 Golden Valley Road, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55427-4414, and their Consultants.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION : Project consists of Addition to Tracy Area Elementary School, includes Cafeteria and some Storage Space. The Alterations of the Kitchen and Serving Area is also included. Includes the creation of two Firewalls by adding fire rated doors. Also includes a connection to the Addition through Maintenance and Storage Area.

TYPE OF BIDS: Single lump sum bids will be received for the total scope of the Work.

BID DATE: Bids must be received on or before November 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM, local time.

DELIVERY AND OPENING OF BIDS: Bids shall be delivered to and opened at Tracy Area Public Schools, Administrative Offices Board Room, located in Tracy Area High School, 934 Pine Street, Tracy, Minnesota. Bids will be opened publicly immediately after closure for bidding period.

BID SECURITY: Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to the Owner.

Procurement of Documents By Sub-Bidders: Sub-Bidders (other than identified Major Sub-Bidders) may purchase full or partial sets of Bidding Documents from Reprographic Source. Cost for purchasing Bidding Documents is non-refundable.

PRE-BID MEETING: A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on October 18, 2016, beginning at 3:30 PM. Meet at Tracy Area Elementary School, Administrative Office. Meeting is highly recommended for Prime Bidders. Sub-Bidders may attend.

TIME OF COMMENCEMENT: Work may commence for Building Addition on March 31, 2017. Work may commence for Alteration Work within existing building on June 15, 2017.

TIME OF COMPLETION: Owner requires Substantial Completion of Contract Work on or before August 1,2017.

BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Contractor will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond.

WAGE DETERMINATION

REQUIREMENTS: Contract will be subject to compliance with Schedule of Prevailing Wages issued by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) of the City of Tracy will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Economic Development Authority until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 1st for snow removal and lawn care service of the Tracy Economic Development Authority Apartments. The EDA will also receive bids for the management and maintenance contract for the Tracy Economic Development Authority Apartments. Said apartments are located at 401 through 419 Fifth Street, 450 through 472 Fifth Street, 130 through 136 Third Street East, 131 through 137 Third Street East 410 through 440 Orchard Lane and 411 through 441 Orchard Lane.

No bids shall be considered unless sealed and presented to the Tracy Economic Development Authority Office on or before the deadline. The Tracy Economic Development Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. The EDA reserves the right to select the bid with the best value, which may not be the lowest bid. The EDA also reserves the right to ask for clarifications on any bids as they see fit.

The Friends of Shetek State Park are planning the 11th annual Pumpkin Festival at Lake Shetek State Park Saturday, Oct. 22.

Activities will be held at the park’s Zuya Group Center from 1 to 4 p.m.

Hayrides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games, campfire s’mores, refreshments, and a leaf pile are among the activities.

There is no charge, however, state park vehicle permits are

required to enter the park. Daily permits are $5 per vehicle or $25 for an annual permit and can be purchased at the office.

Lake Shetek State Park is located 14 miles northeast of Slayton or 13 miles south of Tracy. Access to the park is by County Road 38, north of Currie. For more information, contact the park directly at (507) 763-3256 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
